I now have wee problem with the internal speaker on my 750. Over the last couple of days it has become very crackly. The first day I noticed it was right after plugging it into a new handsfree car kit that I bought, which doesn't seem to work with the phone despite the retailer assuring me it would (it's for the 680/750) Could this have damaged the phone speaker? One other strange thing I noticed is that when I use my TomTom unit I can connect the 750 to it through BT and use the satnav unit as a handsfree, but when I do this the sound coming out of it is also crackly, so much so that it is in fact useless. If any one can help I'd be really grateful, I'm starting to think the habdsfree kit has knackered up my phone.

    cheers

If you had to install software for it, then I suppose it's possible that it couldv'e affected speaker output. If that's the case, a hard reset and restore your last backup should clear it.

It could also simply be the speaker hardware. You may be able to purchase a speaker online and replace it. If you can't find one for the 750, try the 680. I believe most of that type hardware is interchangeable between the two.

i second fastlerner, third party apps for sound drivers typically "bug" up phones, a device wipe would be my first step.

There was no software installed for the handsfree, although I have installed quite a few applications to try them out, most of which have been deleted as they weren't suited to me or I didn't like them. I will try a hard reset anyway, but first I have to find my settings for the push email. I don't have them as my "IT" dep't set it up before I got my hands on it, they can be a bit cagey about giving the settings out. cheers foor the advice.

On the Treo, open ActiveSync and choose menu>configure_server. Everything you need for push mail would be here.

Basically, you just need the correct web address plus your username and password.
