Is there an easier way and maybe more a dummies way. I am used to good ole Blazer on my 650 and this windows base stuff is weird. Thanks for all or any help.

You should be able to go to Messaging, clicke on New and then step through setting up your account. What email provider are you trying to link to? I have Comcast and have had it set up and working using an unlocked 650, unlocked 680, and unlocked 750 using Tmobile. I am using a 700wx on Sprint now, but the reason I changed was not due to email.

You can also go to the Tmobile site, and in the support area there are instructions on how to set up unlocked phones to work with their system. Here are a couple of links:

    Hope this helps.

T Zones really wasn't designed for full Internet access. It was primarily designed for limited access to placed that Tmobile wants you to visit, such as ringtone and the like. In the past there have been loop holes in their network that did allow full access, but it was always attributed to sloppy networking by Tmobile, and those ports usually closed rather quickly. For full access, you are better off getting a full data package, which is kinda spendy. That is one of the reasons I left Tmobile, and got a deal through the Sprint SERO progam. I got a Treo 700wx for $199, and a plan that includes full internet data access, unlimited text messaging, unlimited mobile to mobile and nights and weekends that start at 7:00, all for $30/month. That was what Tmobile wanted for just the Internet package. Switching was a no brainer.

Unless you travel overseas, that is. Verizon and Sprint use CDMA, which has coverage mainly in North America. Most of the rest of the world is on GSM.

So if you travel abroad (especially to Europe), hold on to your GSM phone.

Tmobile has a large presence in Europe, and it is possible to get a plan that will allow you to use your phone over there. As for traveling, I've only been out of the US only once in the past 30 years, and that was before cell phones were even invented.

I was actually speaking to his comments that it was a "no brainer" to switch from Tmobile to Sprint because of pricing.

While Sprint may have less expensive packages, their phones won't roam to Europe, while Tmobile phones will since they are GSM. Sprint is CDMA.

I have it working on one of my 750's. Yes you do need to set it up a little bit. The way I have this one setup:
in Connections under "My Work Network" "Add a new modem connection"
name it something like TZones, select "Cellular Line (GPRS , 3G)"
    access point wap.voicestream.com
tap finish on the screen with username etc.
Now go into "Manage existing connections"
tap on the Proxy Settings, check "This network connects to the internet" check "This network uses a proxy..."
Proxy address: 216.155.165.50, then tap "Advanced" tap on HTTP change the port to 8080.
OK back out to connections screen and tap the Advanced tab
tap "Select Networks" change the "Programs tha automatically connect to the internet use..." to "My Work Connection"

This should get the Internet working for email and web. Messaging has other settings if you need those too let me know.

I used the above connections and it shows to be connected but nothing in IE shows up. Everything times out. Is there a way to change IE settings? Or am I missing something?

Just a shot in the dark... If you have an AT&T device, try opening the Proxy Manager and make sure it is unchecked.

My device is a totally unlocked Treo. Not branded at all. Any other ideas? I did a hard reset just to start over.

After I did a hard reset - everything is working on IE.

    Thanks,
