With Palm OS Centro, a press-and-hold of ANY key on the keyboard can be set to 1) dial a number in the database, 2) go to any website or 3) open any application. The Treo 750 can only dial a number in the database with a push-and-hold. Major win for Palm OS. Is there a program for the Treo 750 that will do this?

Butler (from Hobbyist software) is only for Palm OS. I don't know if there's a similar product for WM Treos. Sorry.

There is more than 1 way to skin that cat.

There are multiple 3rd party button managers to allow you to map different hardware buttons to different things beyond the buttons assignable in the OS.

Personally, I prefer to use MortButtons. It doesn't add any assignable hardware buttons. Instead, it lets you create a simple icon menu of up to 12 functions, then you can assign that whole menu to a hardware button in the OS. So, when I press my side button, I get a pop-up menu of my favorite choices.

You can also combine this with button mappers to give you tons of customizable menus at your fingertips.
