Dunno about anyone else, but this has a major bug on the 700w - whenever I try and type in an address / URL at the top, it takes every key i press and thinks I'm holding it down, so just beginning to type treocentral results in a string of TTTTTTTTTTTTT off the end of the line, which can only be resolved by hitting backspace. Very annoying indeed.

    Anyone else experiencing similar problems?

You need to go into settings and disable the direct address input. It doesn't work on Treos.

I'm lost when it comes to installing this. I've installed a couple other programs from .cab extensions, but it always says there is no program associated with a .jad file in which the opera mini is. can anyone let me know what I'm missing?

Opera Mini is AWESOME. This worked for my 700WX VZ. Try at your own risk:

Step #1 on your PC, download the Jbed MIDlet Manager

    http://www.winmobiletech.com/092007M...mertecJbed.cab

Step #2 on your PC, transfer the Cloudyfa_EsmertecJbed.cab file to your Treo

Step #3 on your Treo, install Cloudyfa_EsmertecJbed.cab

Step #4 on your Treo, enter the address http://www.operamini.com/beta/

On my device I installed 4.1 but 4.0 was still installed. Go to Start, Programs and launch the Jbed program,....do you have 2 versions of Opera to choose from?

If so you can uninstall the older one, or take that shortcut in that post rename it to Opera 4.1 then look at the properties of it. I can't remember exactly but it should say something like "\windows\jbed.exe" -runs0, change it to "windows\jbed.exe" -runs1

Then you can run both 4.0 and 4.1 to see the differences.

    Hope that helps.

I just wish I could make OM the default browser.

Opera Mini is the best browser on WM. If you haven't tried it yet, please get the EsmertecJBed Java VM above and try it out.

Now I only fire up PIE when I need to launch a youtube video.

The find in page function really seals the deal.

Still waiting for Hitachi to reintroduce the G1000 with a VGA screen and more memory. I still miss that crash prone beauty.

Hey, that EsmertecJBed will not work with the Treo 700wx! At least, that's what I'm told.

IBM no longer allows Palm to distribute their Java environment, so what's a poor
Treo 700wx owner supposed to do if they want OperaMini?

It works. Take it from me a 700wx/Opera Mini User and the many other 700wx/opera mini users on this forum.

    Follow the instructions found here.
