I have a Treo 750 quite some time ago, but one thing that bothers me is how dificult is to save a new phone number.

Does anyone have found a way to do it as simple as WM 5/6 default dial pad menu option (Save to Contacts) have it?

You can set it so that any time you make or receive a call to/from a number that is not attached to a contact, the system will prompt you to add it as one.

From the Today screen, Menu>Preferences>Phone and check the box so it will ask to add unknown numbers to contacts.

Actually, I think the steps for me to add a new contacts is not that difficult.
    From today screen, click Menu>contact>new.
and you are ready to go for adding the new contact.

or if you feel the steps too long, you can just dial the new number from today screen, press call button, hang up and the add contact will prompt.

    Thanks JSY,

The first one, for me are two many steps and is not easy without the stylus.

The second one could be a good option. I had the save unknown number disabled, but I will give it a try. In my opinion, Palm screw up WM taking off the default dialer.

I was thinking to look for a Mortscript that automate these steps:
    - Start >> Contacts > New > Position cursor on Mobile Phone field first.

If some one have seen this kind of Mortscript, please let me know here.

    Thanks all,

I haven't seen one, but it didn't take long to write one. The way I wrote it, the script MUST be executed from the Today screen, so you can't run it from file explorer. Once it's on your device, copy and paste a shortcut into your \windows\start menu\programs group, then go into your buttons and map a hardware button to the shortcut.

From the today screen, just mash the mapped button. You may possibly have to play with the timing parameters if you have trouble, but this worked fine on my device.

Just copy and past the code below into notepad and save with extension .mscr instead of .txt. Oh, of course you'll need mortscript installed on your device as well. ENJOY!

    #Choose Menu key
    SendSpecial("RightSoft")
    Sleep(500)

    #Select Contacts
    SendSpecial("CR")
    Sleep(1000)

    #Select NEW
    SendSpecial("LeftSoft")
    Sleep(500)

    #Select Outlook contact
    SendSpecial("CR")
    Sleep(500)

    #Arrow down to MOBILE field
    SendSpecial("Down")
    SendSpecial("Down")
    SendSpecial("Down")
    SendSpecial("Down")
    SendSpecial("Down")
    SendSpecial("Down")
    SendSpecial("Down")
    SendSpecial("Down")
    SendSpecial("Down")
    SendSpecial("Down")
    SendSpecial("Down")
