Is there a way to update microsoft framework without the sync cable? I recently lost mine, is there a workaround.

    If I understand correctly...

You install the redist on your desktop then install the CAB files needed for your device directly on the device. Maybe you could upload them to a website or temp location on the net then download to your device and install.

    From the redist link...
"Those not using ActiveSync can run the CAB files which match the device found in the install folder directly on the device."

fyi - this works for most instalers...

Run the installer on the pc but not with the phone connected. Look to see if it shows you the install folder (usually in c:\program files\microsoft activesync\***) and you'll see the cab files.

I do this all the time as I don't want to run installs through activesync
