one thing I liked about WM6 was the on screen speakerphone and mute buttons. after playing around with a couple of today plugins, they have disappeared. I have un-installed all the new S/W, but the have not come back. the two software packages I was using were "Samsung Time.cab" a large today clock program, and the other was the personalizer_2.0.cab, a program that allows you to modify the carrier name. Anyone experience the loss of their onscreen speakerphone and mute buttons, and/or know how to get them back?

Hard reset and load your most recent backup.

Always a good idea to run a backup before installing unfamiliar apps. As you've discovered, some people can't code for crap.

Use a backup utility. Palm provides a free copy of one on the software disc that came with your Treo.

Otherwise you'll need to purchase one.

I believe mine came with Sprite backup. You have to run the disk and look for additional software. Some is trial, but Sprite was free.

Of course, the version that came with my Treo 9 months ago was for WM5. Now that I've run a "free" upgrade, I gotta buy software.

    *sigh* That's Palm.
