I'm hoping can help me. I need to send about 20 guys the same text message. Right now I...
    1. Open text messaging
    2. choose add a recipient
    3. pick a recipient
    4. repeat steps 2 & 3 until I reach the maximimum of 10 recipients.
    5. enter my message
    6. choose "send"
    7. repeat steps 1-6 for the remaining 10 contacts.

I find this to be a ridiculous process. I "should" be able to have a mailing list & simply select the list then type my message. Can someone either show me what I'm doing wrong, point me to a 3rd party app that does it, or a web app that does this. In a perfect world I would LOVE to get it all set up on Sunday & schedule the msg to send on thursday. However, this last feature is not high on my priority list.

Well... I don't think so on the Treo, anyway

If you'd like, you may be able to find a site like these to do what you wish...

    http://www.txt2day.com/
    http://textforfree.net/
    http://www.google.com/sendtophone
    http://smseverywhere.com/send.htm

    Good luck

Go to http://www.handongo.com and look up SKG group SMS 2.02. This program is one of a few that will do group texting. Look under communications category.

From all the research that I have done there is no way to to group SMS from native winmob 5. Hope this is what you are looking for. There is a free trail but you can't actually send any messages from the demo.

There is a registry key that appears can change this.

Use a registry editor and edit the following key:

    HKLM\System\Inbox\Settings\LimitSMSRecipients

    The default value is 10....

Basically you are just changing the default value for that registry key. Use your favorite reg editor to drill down to it and then modify. I use Resco Explorer 2007 which has a reg editor in it.

I don't see LimitSMSRecipients in HKLM\System\Inbox\Settings\ .Maybe its because I just did the 1.15 Sprint update recently & I guess it removed it or something. Does that mean I dont have a limit?

Why can't you make a template and save it in your text messaging app? That's what I do on my Treo. When I had the 700wx for a short time, someone here told me how to do this as well... I think you go to the message and save it and it copies it to the saved folder. Then you can go in there, type the message, and send it, and it keeps the original in the saved folder.

I can't tell you how exactly to do this since I don't have the device anymore, but I remember it can do this because I mass text with my phone too and this was one of my questions.
If God brought you to it He'll bring you thru it!

Using the method in post number 4, whats the most max recipients anyone has tried that sends successfully without messing up your phone or screwing up your existing inbox conversations cause of how sometimes it can change the display name, example here http://discussion.treocentral.com/sh...d.php?t=153400
