Is there an alternative to orb? I don't have a XP PC, only OSX and LINUX.

It depends on what your trying to stream. Also, searching the thread using keyword (Orb) should provide you with a lot of answers.

    Two alternatives really

    1) Buy a Slingbox and you don't need a PC to route your TV over the internet, just the box, a cable input and high speed internet.

    2) Use software that broadcasts internet TV like MobiTV.

I should have been more specific. I am only interested in streaming saved video files. I save TV direct from my cable box via fire wire.

Orb is nice because it transcodes big videos to a smaller format. The only down side is that it only runs on Windoze.

    Simple, do like I do.

I have Orb running in Windows XP via Parallels on my iMac, piece of cake.
