I know that option is there but that's only for going from gsm/umts and US or Europe bands. I am talking about turning off the "H" off.

    anyone??

What's the point in disabling HSDPA ?

The battery drain is the same in HS or UMTS (as is the same in GPRS or EDGE).

really? only reason i asked was because there was a hack to enable it so i thought there must be a way to disable it.

I am trying to get back to using the Treo from the BJ but it's not looking so good because of the battery life.

on the side note any one know if there is a way to get the Eng. Mode on the treo750??

I think you can try to use the hsdpahack with the option /DISABLE instead /ENABLE. (just edit with a notepad like sw the *.lnk file in the \windows\startup directory after the hack install)

    P.S. I feel dumb, but what's "Eng. mode "

dont know about editing the file. Maybe someone can create on. only reason i ask is beacuse everyone seem have been fine with the battery till the HSDPA was enabled and the battery just get's used up. But before you can have it on 3G and still go almost a full day with out charing now i cant even go half a day.

engineering mode.. i know it was possible with the 650 and other device as well that are windows mobile os.

Is someting easier to do than to say.

    1) Install the hsdpa hack

    2) connetct the treo to a PC witn activesync

    3) go to the directory \windows\startup and copy the hsdpa related link (don't remember the exact name, something like starthsdpa.lnk) to your desktop.

    4) open the *.lnk file with notepad, and change the word /ENABLE to /DISABLE, save the file and copy it back to the treo

    5) softreset and see if it works

Sorry but I can't try here (I'm in holidays place with no 3G coverage )

I noticed almost the same, but as already sayd I don't have 3g coverage here (the phone is forced in 2G only mode).

So I think that is not a HSDPA related issue but something other, we will see what happen when the final relase will be out.

    Ah, OK thanks.

No, never heard about something like eng mode in WM.

Just wondering because the 8525, BJ, has the options..and because HTC was the ODM that made the 750 there has to be an key sequence to get in there..
