in tcpmp there's no file association for flv perhaps that is the reason youtube isnt working when you click on a link it says unknown file format

    Great work by the way!
if this worked with orb it would be great, i wonder if these 2 sites 1. www.tv-links.co.uk 2. www.movie6.net could be made to work.

    this is so cool

    Thank You!!!!

just to give you people a heads up when you save a file from youtube, if you want to be able to play it you have to go to the properties of the saved file and make it a .flv otherwise it isn't gonna recognize the file type.

Thanks, I haven't had a chance to update the FAQ yet. I'll do it later tonight, but it looks like you guys are figuring it out.

And nice to see someone found the menu toggle already. I knew that would come in handy, heheh.

Yeah, I tried redtube and a few others. It wouldn't work because the videos are encoded with a newer codec.

But I did add a few sites in that vein for you horndogs, lol.

Yeah, I'm a car nut myself, so I did try streetfire. Same.

I actually went through ALOT of different sites trying to find compatible flash sites that work with our TCPMP flv plugins, however it's turning out that most sites use the newer codecs, or I had to eliminate them for different reasons.

Streetfire also supports windows media player, so there may be hope yet.

Of course if someone wants to try and update the TCPMP plugins, or wants to pop for a flash developer's license...

....i enjoy computers and i can fix stuff on computers...but i will gladly leave the writing of programs etc to you and others of your caliber. ;-)

just a ? that maybe you can answer. why is it that they won't release a flash 8 for the ppc? a decent amount of people have ppc now days, so why not capitalize on it?

I've been avoiding link-aggregation sites because they are a headache (too many broken links and point to too many different sites), but it seems like the majority of the links point to veoh & stage6, with some links on youtube & google (which are all supported already).

So in theory most of that content can already be played, it just isn't indexed nicely. I was holding out for a better tv links site. I wanted to add in2tv.com which has a nice collection, but it requires rtmp support.

I may revisit tvlinks and movie6 in the next version.

    Good question, my thoughts exactly...

I honestly don't know why they don't other than they seem to be pushing their FlashLite SDK. Maybe they aren't taking the handheld arena seriously yet, although with the advent of the iPhone and with this hack, it should be pretty clear that a lot of people want it. I'm sure it'll happen, just a question of when.

    Awesome update as usual zbop.

Edit: NVM, sometimes it works.. sometimes it doesn't.. overall, a big improvement.

What are the best settings to try to prevent divx movies from constantly buffering?

And on a totally unrelated (sorta) note.. is there any way to get IE to show you more information about a download. It'd be nice to see the actual amount of data transmitted and the transfer speed.
