    I tried everything. I can see my PC in the bluetooth search, but only services I see is "Wireless Stereo" and no ActiveSync... I am using Toshiba bluetooth drivers on my PC.. I tried changing all the com port numbers available in connection settings dropdown of AS and pressing refresh in device services window on my Treo 750 after each com port number change, but result is same.

    Anyone had such difficulty pairing up for AS use?? Any tips or workarounds??

    Go to ActiveSync on the Treo. You have to start the sync form there.

    Thats what I have beem doing.. except that I cant establish AS relationship between the PC and the device... I guess it has something to do with COM ports.. please share your experiences..

    I had the same problem. Delete ALL bluetooth devices on your Treo, including headsets, and then pair from the Treo to the PC (not from PC to Treo). That did the trick for me.
