    Hello,

When I browse sites, I'm constantly "locating..." the same sites over and over again. Is there a way to increase the dns cache or have Pocket Internet Explorer retain the DNS cache in-between sessions?

I figure there must be a registry change or something.

    Thanks!

    Matt

I think you're right, there may be a registry tweak possible. Unfortunately, I don;t know it. But ... this tip may help you a good deal with the locating / name resolution speed issues. It's a year old, but still effective:

I actually use OpenDNS, but the more free DNS servers the better.

I think VZW is traffic shaping my HTTP traffic. I'm calling them now.

    Thanks,

The tech told me to update the data PRI list, which I guess is different from the regular tower PRI list?

    Dial *22899

    Worked

    what exactly does this do?

honestly, i'm not really sure. Have you ever did a *228? It appears the do the same thing, except, according the the tech, this is for data. Too bad, from my understanding of a PRL, it would make no sense to have a seperate voice and data PRL, that's just retarded.

Maybe this is just straight to PRL update, instead of also getting the option to activate your phone? But again, according to the tech, this is a Data PRL update.
