lol 85 viewers and nobody has any info on this. Its kinda funny they call the 700wx a smartphone when by far is it smart or do all the things i need it to do. And its the best phone Alltel has but cant complain too much i guess for the price i got it for on ebay and its in really good condition.

Still nothing on being able to send picture message?

    Please refer to this thread:
    http://discussion.treocentral.com/sh...d.php?t=131610

The issue is not with the 700wx as there is an app that does MMS on it. However, no one appears to know Alltel's MMS settings. Therefore, the problem is not how smart your smartphone is, but how smart your Alltel support rep is
    Treo 600 > Treo 650 > Treo 700p > Treo 700wx -> Mogul -> Touch Pro
You may like to flash, but your phone shouldn't. LED Killer

I have a Treo 700w with alltel and I have successfully set up MMS

    kinda...

I installed the arcsoft mms program with the instructions found here

    my server settings are:

    Server name: ALLTEL_MMS

    Gateway: (left blank)

    Port number: 80

    Server address: mms.alltel.net

    Connect via: the internet

    WAP: 2.0

not sure how else it works.
But it works to RECEIVE Pictures, however I can not send.

and also when I download them they appear extremely small.

Funny because I had those settings for a while then I gave up and one day it just popped up "new mms message"

    1. Have Alltel add picture messaging to the line your windows smartphone is on.

    2. Make sure you have MMS Composer 3.0.6.24 installed on your device. Click here if you need to download it.

    3. Download the Alltel MMS cab here.

    4. Install MMS Composer on your device if you haven't already. Soft reset if you do install.

    5. Run my cab to fix all of the issue's related to why we have not been able to do this in the past.

    6. Perform a soft reset to make sure all setting's take affect.

    7. Send your first picture message, and request someone to send you a message in return.

    seems to be working great

if anyone else trys the lenny fix will you post plz...

It works fine on mine but i installed it on a friends at work and his is not working and has started acting "weird". He says it will randomly reset especially after getting an sms. My phone is just about hacked out and his is brand new. On mine I have
    1- sms threader
    2- a2dp
    3- .net 2
    4- pocketnes
    5- sharpcast
    6- total commander
    7- stream media for utube
and a few others that i will randomly install/uninstall such as microsoft live and navizon.

out of that the only thing i can think of is that .net 2 may have something to do with it or that i installed with total commander on mine and used regular file explorer on his.. any thoughts?

I have tried this and I cant get it to work.

I contacted Alltel, and had picture messaging added to my plan.

Installed and soft reset for both the composer and the fix, but it still doesnt work.

It shows the MMS configurations on the menu for messaging but that its.

I have uninstalled and installed 3 or 4 times, and nothing is working.

If anyone might know something as to why I cant get this to work I would greatly appreciate it

    Thanks

Hi! I registered here just so I could hopefully answer your question since I was also frustrated with this.
I am using WM5 and I would install the VZW file and the MMS inbox would come up, but it wouldn't work because it's set to the verizon server. When I would install the .cab to configure the phone, it still worked but when I restarted the phone, the whole thing went away except for the config options in the messaging menu.
I tried just taking the config info out of the setup from the .cab file and reinstalling the VZW file. I then manually entered the config info into the VZW setup and didn't reinstall the configuration .cab file. This seems to have it working even after a restart. I don't know if any of this makes sense. Basically here's the deal:
    Install the MMS program.
Do not install the other one.
Edit the verizon configuration with this info -
    port - 8080
    server - http://mms-mt.alltel.net/servlets/mms
    connect via internet
    max size 350
    WAP 2.0

That should make it work. Let me know if you have any luck!

    Thanks

I finally got this to work,

I installed the vzw mms and soft reset.

Then I installed the .cab, but I didnt do a soft reset yet.

I sent my first message and then had a friend send me one back.

Then I did a soft reset and everything works.

The only thing it does and I think it may be normal with this is when you get a picture message its like its trying to play it like a slide show.

    No big deal.

Hope this helps with anyone that cant get it to work.

Registered so I could post and share my experience with this.

I didn't call Alltel (I have no idea which plan I'm on off the top of my head)

Installed the vzw mms (no reset). Couldn't edit the Verizon server info.

Installed the Alltel cab (no reset).

Had a friend send a message and it came through.. sort of. No picture but text.

    Did a soft reset.

    Everything works great.

Every time I receive a message, the picture is TINY. Does anyone else have this problem? Anyone know how to fix it? It ends up being 2k and about 42x38 pixels.
