I have the VZW WX and the update itself went perfectly. I had to adjust the time zone after the update but other than that, +++.

Does it actually fix any of the bluetooth headset issues or just modifies the a2dp support?

For instance, the pairing issues, the dropout issues, etc.

Does this fix loose the "change folders" option?

I use mortscript, but I am trying to figure out if I have the correct Rom.

When in outlook, if you click on menu, is there a 'switch folder' option? Or did that go missing?

Do you mean Switch Accounts? Yes that is still there.

Dunno, but I checked and the update installs an all new bluetooth stack so it could very well affect anything bluetooth related.

I thought there was a switch folders for stylus free folder switching like on the 750. I don't see that option anymore .

I think it's made a huge difference on 700w. I am now able to use my GlobalSat 338 GPS receive and Plantronics 640 simultaneously. Haven't noticed any of the disconnect problems. It also seems to have fixed the windows media issue of stopping while connected to BT headset. I can now have my slingplayer running and be able to leave headset connected and receive call when it comes in.

Don't know if it's a fluke, but was averaging 300-400 on dslreports/mspeed in my area. Today I'm getting consistently 700-800.

After installing the 1.22 update, when I try to run it my phone hangs. Freezes everything and I have to do a soft reset. Others seeing this issue?

It killed my W too. Killed all sound. New one will be here Monday. Hoping for WX. VZW CS said he would try for WX but couldn't make any promises.

Hannip, how can I varify that I have the new bt stack? Other than checking if I now have V1.22?

I got a refurb after the update bricked my 700w and the refurb has the 1.22 version. Now I can connect to my Holux M-1000 GPS in a couple of seconds. I had major problems connecting before.

I don't have my 700w with me at the moment, but I believe all of the new bt files were dated in March 2007 and the ones from my A2DP install are dated in Feb 2007. You can check each of the file dates. You can also open each file using Resco and view Properties to see if the ROM checkbox is checked or not. If it's not checked delete it. The ROM version will then appear with the new date.

Here is a list of the files. They all reside in \Windows.

You might be working on it already, but is there any way you could redo your a2dp hack with the new VZW BT Stack for us Sprint users?
  17. #57
Yeah, Malatesta already suggested this. I'll get to it, but can't commit to a date at this time when it will be available.
