I am about to delploy 85 shiny new VZW 700wx to our management. On top of going from 600's, 650's & 700'p to the 700wx we are also moving from GroupWise 6.0 to Outlook/Exchange 2007. I am wondering if anyone out there is using Exchange 2007 with the 700wx . Have you had any problems? We are six weeks out from cutover and just looking to see if there are any known issues out there.

    Thanks
    Rob

I was using Exchange 2007 with a 700wx and it worked fine. Keep in mind that if a WM6 upgrade comes out for the 700wx, you will get more functionality.

I agree. You won't see the full power of Exchange 2007 unless you have WM6, as well as Outlook 2007 for desktops should you chose to offer that option. It may be more prudent to wait to see what is planned for WM6: an upgrade (which I personally doubt) or a new version of the Treo phone with WM6, which is more likely, again in my opinion.

On a side note, what benefits are there with outlook 2007 + Exchange 2007 that you dont get with Exchange 2003 + Outlook 2007?

To name a few you can set your out of office message on, search your entire mailbox and open emails from the search results, HTML email and more.

EDIT: nm...I misread your message and thought you were asking about WM6 + Exchange 2007.

We are going to be on Exchange 2007 and Outlook 2007. We already have received our stock of Treo700wx with WM5. Being that we are going from GroupWise 6.0 to Outlook 2007 I am sure our users are going to be so overwhelmed with the added functionality that their heads will explode.

I have 20 WM5 devices on my EXG2003 server. They are generally quite reliable. You'll have to enforce a password on the Treo if you want remote wipe capability.

Make sure you install Microsoft Live Search on the Treo. (browse to wls.live.com on the treo) It's a hit in our office, everyone loves it.
