I am not sure if this is normal or not. I haven't noticed it until the last couple of days, but if I sit and watch my screen, my data arrows will go dormant (shaded) and then about 30 seconds later they will go active (solid), then after about 30 more seconds they will go dormant again and then just repeat the cycle. however I don't know why they are doing this because I am not transferring data at the time. I don't use exchange for mail, I use push effect. So I don't think that would be the problem either. This makes my battery drain pretty fast. I used to have flexmail and uninstalled it when I found pusheffect. The only other software I have is SiriusWM5, Pocket Informant, SKtools, phone alarm and Today Agenda. Does anyone know what might be causing this? Or is this normal behavior?

Only thing I can think of is to make sure your Pocket Outlook isn't set to automatically download mail. Even though you have PushEffect, you may have forgotten to turn that off.
