You haven't searched that hard. I have two threads going on about this, and am desperate for an answer.

And the other in thne 750C section: http://discussion.treocentral.com/sh...d.php?t=140444

I had asked the same question not too long ago (as I was used to this feature on my 650 and just keeping e-mails I wanted for however long I wanted). The short answer I got is that Pocket Outlook only synchronizes the mail, it does not act as a stand alone e-mail app in the sense that once a message is removed from the server, PO will remove it from your inbox. This is a big shortcoming IMO but apparently no option will allow you to "store e-mails locally" as I would refer to it. The only option is to get another e-mail client.

Not sure why you're asking about your Q in a Treo forum, but let's see if I can help. I'll show how to leave mail on your device longer than just a few days (at least, this is how it works on my TREO - not Q - and I'm using Exchange ActiveSync.

    1. Assumes Exchange ActiveSync, which I think is your setup.
    2. Go into ActiveSync on the device.
    3. Menu.
    4. Options.
    5. Nav down to Email.
    6. Right Nav over to Settings.
    7. Include the previous [your setting here - default on the WM Treo is three days; I have mine set for a month].
(meaning, that the most recent 30 days' worth of email, and all forward, is kept on the device, ASSUMING I don't delete messages. The mailbox cleanup threshold is 30 days - that window of mail is what's shown on the device. Of course that doesn't mean messages that are + 30 are being deleted - they're just not synced to the device.

    Got it?

    Rejoice.

p.s. your step by step instructions were no help...the q uses smartphone edition.

The main site, is TreoCentral. Palm Treo's uses 2 operating systems; Palm OS and Windows Mobile. You may find discussions on other devices, besides Palm Treos, in other sections, but with very little activity or help, since probably 99% of the members own/use Palm Treo devices. Plus we don't really expect people with other devices to post threads in a Treo WM section. As you would not expect any Treo users to post questions regarding their Treo on a Moto Q forums, such as

Boy someone goes out of their way to try and help, and that's how you respond? Nice.

How about this - go into the ActiveSync app on your Q and see if you can figure it out yourself. Good luck.
