I recently bought the 750 (to replace my 650). I'm still inside my 30 day trial period and have now learned about the WM6 upgrade promised by Palm. My problem is that I cannot decide whether to keep the current 750 (with WM5)and install the WM6 upgrade when it comes out, or wait until a new 750 device becomes available with WM6 already installed. Is there any disavantage to the upgrade as opposed to the preinstalled OS? Time is ruuning out for me and I would appreciate any thoughts on the subject.

Upgrade and pre-installed will be the same. No reason to wait.

Keep the 750, enjoy it and in a few months, upgrade the WM.

Stay with it, and get use to the WM os.

WM6 doesn't perform much better over WM5. It just added some bells and whistles.
    Treo Maniac?

It's really not a major OS upgrade and shouldn't be called WM6, maybe WM5.5

Supposedly it greatly increases the underlying speed of the OS which is something that I'm looking forward to. It's also more aesthetically pleasing.

I'm actually surprised that we can't get a "rouge" copy of this now.

    I think you mean "rogue"?

It was easier to get the WM6 for the more generic HTC devices. For the Treo however, all that customization has to be added in by Palm.

But it does support 320x320 resolution, which gives a lot more options for new devices.

True, but there won't be a new Palm GSM Treo for quite some time...

    Haha, thanks.

True on the Palm enhancements. But given we all have seen it work on a Treo, we know it exists.

Yes, but only at the 240x240 resolution.
