    If not, let's start one

    What my Today screen looks like now, I think I've settled on something

    Using from top to bottom:

    Pwrstat - Battery/RAM meter at the very top (blue and orange lines)
    rlCalendar
    Treo WebSearch
    Resco Today Plugin
    PocketBreeze - weatherpanel is a tab within PB

    I just have SPB Mobile Shell and all the standard plugins that came standard on the Cingular Treo, escept I have incorporated the picture speed dial into one of SPB's tabs.

    Sorry to see this thread didn't pick up.

    Anyay, i'm trying to get the SMS option on the left topkey like the OP has. There should be a reg hack for that somewhere...
  4. #4
    I can't seem to find how I did it before.
    On my 8525 I had the bottom menu bar smaller.
    I can't remember if it was a regedit or what.
    I posted an example in the 700 thread yesterday.
    (before I found this Thread)
    I'm at my Treo right now, so I will post that pic of my Today Screen after I get to my office.

    I made it myself.
    (merged a few pics)

    I made it to represent how Palm is getting eaten up by WM.

    Edit:
    Yes, you can borrow it.

    My Today Screen is rather spartan.

    Here's what I'm talking about:

    I'm still searching the forums for the hack, regedit, or app, where you could make the bottom 'MenuBar' smaller.

    I mean..
    Why not smaller?
    It's not like we have to have it big enough to touch with our finger,
    we have the softkeys right below it.

    Edit:
    I might have forgot to mention that I was able to do it before, I absolutely, positively, had it on my 8525, I just cant remember how.

    I like that mod. I notice that you've got a short date stacked on top of your time in the Title Bar. I'm assuming that's another hack.

    Please share how that one was done, if you have it handy. Not showing the date in the main screen would reclaim a whole line for me.

    Here's what I'm currently running on my today screen (seems to change every couple weeks).

    Show Time,Date,both or Battery on top bar at Today screen

    [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\]
    Time:
    "ShowTitleBarClock"=1 / "TBOpt"=1
    Date:
    "ShowTitleBarClock"=1 / "TBOpt"=2
    Both:
    "ShowTitleBarClock"=1 / "TBOpt"=3
    Nothing:
    "ShowTitleBarClock"=1 / "TBOpt"=0
    Battery:
    "ShowTitleBarClock"=0 / "TBOpt"=1

    In addition to the above,
    I have:

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\nls\overrides]
    "SSDte"="MM/dd "

    Notice the spaces after dd
    This is so the date doesn't get cut off short.

    What is the reg hack to get missed calls, smses, etc in a single line?

    The Bluetooth icon on the left instead of right is also cool.

    Here's mine! After messing around with the HTC Home/Customizer, Ive decided to revert back and here's a snapshot of mine with SPB Pocket Plus w/ iphone icons, SPB Phone Suite and SPB Weather. Had the left soft key remapped and the carrier registry hack done to lighten things up a bit.

    That's not a hack. It's the info line for a program called TreoAlert. Aside from the on screen display, it also blinks the LED different colors for different alert types to let you know you missed something, and can play repeating audible alerts as well.

    It also has more than 1 default view when there are no missed items. If you look at my screenshot you'll see a status line with Signal, Battery, and Memory. Just a different default view.

    Thanks, I kinda got the layout idea from using the HTC Home/Customizer.

    You still have to configure the SPB Softwares by yourself if you should ever decide to get them. But you can always post here or pm me if you have any quieries.

    What's the theme you're using there. Most black themes do not look so rich and nice on the 750
