I'm going to probably sound really ignorant for asking this, but here goes anyway

With Palm's announcement that they will provide an upgrade for 750 owner's from WM5 to WM6 "later this year", and with WM6 able to do 320x320, would the current 750s with their 240x240 screens be able to do 320x320 or would we need a new screen to do so?

    Surur???

It's hardware, dude. Just because the OS supports it, doesn't mean the screen is physically able to display that res. If you want 320 x 320 wait for Palm to release a new Treo.

320x320 is an option, not a requirement for square WM6. As JNGold has said, the WM6 Treo 750's are already all over the place, and only have 240x240 screens.

I just returned a 680 to Cingular over the weekend after a <30 day trial and was heading back to them to get the 750 (which I tried before the 680 and decided I prefer; see my previous thread about 680/750 pros and cons). Now I'm back on the fence wondering if I should wait for a 750 w/ 320x320!

I HATE BEING ON THE FENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Would someone please push me off, preferably onto my head!!

There won't be a 320*320 GSM Treo for a LONG time. The 750 just came out!!!

    <--Pushes him off :-)

It may be just me, but in the day I've had the Treo so far, the 240x240 looks fine so far. Admittedly, I have images turned off in the browser because I'm in an Edge area. But it looks pretty good even at smaller font sizes.

I had a 600 for a year up to 2 years ago, and it is noticebly better than 160x160.

320x320 would support pictures better, but I don't want the text too small.

i have a 650 and when i look at 700's and 750's the images and text are just too big. then again i enjoy my monitor at 1600x1200 =)

    THIS IS SPARTA!
