From everything I can see and what I have read here it appears the only way to choose a general ringtone for incoming calls is to assign it to the contacts individually.

Surely this cannot be the case. I want to use the Queen of the Night aria option for all non specifically allocated contacts.

Help! I must be doing something wrong but I cannot pin down how to select the ringtone.

    arrrrgghhh!!

    thank you.

START -> SETTINGS, choose SOUNDS & NOTIFICATIONS, select the NOTIFICATIONS tab at the bottom of the screen and then with the pull down menu you will see options for changing ring tones for KNOWN and UNKNOWN CALLERS, etc.

    Hope this helps.

And by the way, "known" means "caller ID provided" and "unknown" means "caller ID not provided".
