ok. in post 237 i was sofreseting to check the startup time. the first three startups went fine. the last three start up in a row gave me a "call in progress" in the carrier plugin. never seen this before and really couldn't get past it. and yes there wasn't a call in progress. lol.

i unstalled and then reinstalled. did three test soft resets and all seems good. maybe bad install before, or maybe just a fluke.

    anyhow good job.

You treo must have been making call or your treoset.mscr file is haunted lol
  4.    #244
Same file as the 4.1 the exception off ONOFF toggle and that would have nothing to do with that.

    Say,TREO ALERT ACTIVE

ok, after tring this new startup script i got some weird stuff.

first off i wounder if the startup script could just start the app at what ever position it was before the soft reset.

for example, if you keep treo alert off at night while you sleep, but your weekly backup program perfoms a softreset after scheduled backup, the treo alert app would start back as active if the startup script above was install with it.

my thoughts. have the start up script remember the last settings. if you had it off then it would be off after soft reset. if it was active then agian it would stay active.

now what this startup script that worked great all day today running 4.0 does with 4.2 is....

it does the oppisite of what ever it was set at before reset. if it was active then after softreset it will deactivate. and vice versa. i do get the treo alert audio "treo alert disabled" - "treo alert active" so i know it is kind of working. just not like it did before with 4.0.

i would like to change my request for a "startup all the time script after reset" request, to a "remember my last treo alert settings after softreset" script. like i dont for enough as it is. lol.

thanks sling, other wise no problems, done many tests and looking good.

the app seems to run fine. i dont notice the alert volume increase, but then agian i use vibe more than alert so...

was this version of Alert Control.mscr suppose to keep alert active till you clear all messages? if so that part doesn't work.

if you want to send the other version now... send away sling.
    sling, did you answer this?

If you have pendings and turn off treo alert remiders will stop.
If you turn on treo alert with pending the alert will start back up till there cleard.
No if you have alert on and do softreset it will turn off as it,s ment to do.
The start.mscr amkes that happen and theres a resion for it.There is value changes located in the VIB.mscr and WAV.mscr which give you 2 min delay before reminders start after pending is receaved. This also icrease vib length inturn no need to beat keyguard which makes a much more dependable program.

No if you have text message and v-mail and clear one or the either alert will stop.
  11.    #251
I would need to add " ID " to make that happen.
  12. #252
i think i did it. a new start script that auto starts the treo alert app after reset. it doesn't remember the last settings, but does start.

    #Start.mscr

    Sleep 5000
    RegWriteDword ("HKLM", "System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\State\led", "Toggle", 1 )
    RegWriteDword ("HKLM", "System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\State\led", "ONOFF", 0 )
    RegWriteDword ("HKLM", "System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\State\led", "ALERT", 0 )
    Sleep 10000
    RemoveNotifications( "\Program Files\TREO ALERT\REMIND.mscr" )
RegWriteString "HKLM","System\State\Phone","Current Operator Name", TREO ALERT- HELLO
    Sleep 8000
    CallScript ( "\Program Files\TREO ALERT\TREOSET.mscr" )
