    Hannip....I'm using Gmail through Outlook wirelessly (no Active Sync...I had Outlook set up automatically to find the settings). I'm specifically looking for the LED light to notify me of a new email. The voicemail LED notification works...just not the email LED. I have the exact settings you described earlier with the email set to on.

    Oh and before I forget to ask....do you have other TREO applications you worked on or are in the process of working on. In addition...any new TREO Alert Pro versions in the pipeline?

    As always....thanks!

    Hey Billy,

    I just tried enabling the email notification myself just to make sure it was still working and I noticed I didn't get an led blink. I thought oh no something is broke, but then remembered I have the timer set to disable all notifications after 11pm. Once I selected Set Timer Off the blink started right up as it's suppose to. Maybe you ran into the same situation?

    As far as scripts/apps I write, they are scattered all over the place mostly in this forum. Once I get my treo 800w I plan to fix any issues that TA may have with it and apply various patches that some newer devices have had since beta 8 was released and maybe add a feature or two.

    Did you hear that Sling?

    Don't know if anyone posted yet but this works fine with a custom wm6 rom.
  4. #2044
    Hey New, what device? I'm a bit curious whether Ebag333's custom roms affect TA's led color support on the treo 700wx's. Is that what you have?

    Edit: looks like it looking at your previous posts. Do all of the color combo's still work?

    hannip, I'll test out all the color combos for you and report back. I like the leds to blink normal not fast, but I have left it on fast before and it has worked too, I havn't tried any other combos.

    Device is sprint treo 700wx with ebag's original trimmed wm6 rom.

    Not sure if anyone mentioned this yet, but this wonderful little app doesn't work on the Treo 800w. I'm soooo dependent on this great tool that I'm actually lost without it. Any idea when there will be an update? Thank you!

    Full support for the Treo 800w (GM)

    Note: this version is backward compatible with all other Windows Mobile Treo's. It should work with most non-Treo Windows Mobile phones also.

    Version 8.2 has now been released. Thanks to all that have contributed and tested this version of Treo Alerts.

    There are no new features or bug fixes in the GM version over the RC5 version. Any new features will come in a future 9.0 beta.

    Follow this link for TA 9.0.

    http://discussion.treocentral.com/tr...-treo-pro.html

    Changes in RC5

    - Allows selection of NLED vs TreoLED for those that are observing hangs using TreoLED on the Treo 800w.

    Changes in RC4

    - Fix for bluetooth icons in Billboard plugin when using RealVGA.

    Changes in RC3

    - Charging light was getting stuck on even when not charging. fixed.

    Changes in RC2

    - Since TreoLED doesn't support solid orange on the 800w I changed it to use solid red. This restores the charging light after an led alert is dismissed while charging.

    Changes in RC1

    - Now using zbop's Billboard plugin that supports 320x320 res among others. Included high res bluetooth bitmaps provided by zbop.

    - Now using zbop's TreoLED with multicolor LED support for the 800w.

    - Now recognizes the Treo Pro and sets ToggleDisplay to help wake it up when an alert occurs.

    - Incorporated frause's code to search FlexMail storage folders for unread email.

    Changes in beta 14

    - Fixed vibe to turn off immediately when a call is answered. This should fix the buzzing issue on the 800w. It should now be safe to use repeating vibes while the phone is ringing again.

    - Fixed Ringer Off display setting that wouldn't turn off when it was the only one selected.

    - Added Xcast option to select Standard vs Metric units for our intl friends. See this post to find how to obtain your citycode if outside the US.
    http://discussion.treocentral.com/sh...postcount=2096
    Note: If a citycode is used the unit is automatically set to Metric. If Standard units are desired go to:
    Configuration->Xcast Configuration->Set Units

    - Added new delimiter choices for most display options. Examples:
    VM=1 vs VM-1 vs VM:1 vs VM 1 vs VM1
    To select go to:
    Configuration->Display Configuration->Set Display Delimiter

    - Fixed typo in shortdate display options.

    Happy testing!

    Changes in beta 13

    - Fixed Reminder Voice Call Id state bug on startup
    - Don't show voice settings if reminder alerts aren't selected
    - Play reminder sounds even when ringer off (for headset)
    - Made boot up announcement configurable. Now obeys timer if enabled.
    Configuration->Alert Configuration->Voice Startup Announce
    - Made blinking alert display configurable.
    Configuration->Display Configuration->Show Pending Alert Counts
    - Fixed carrier line "Sprint" display on reboot when "Leave My Carrier Only" is set.
    - Made ringing vibe repeat configurable.
    Configuration->Alert Configuration->Set Vibe Alert Styles->Ringing Phone...Vibe Setting->Repeat Vibe While Ringing
    - Changed vibe program to turn off vibe when phone is answered.
    - Added option to not reset counts on dismiss
    Configuration->Display Configuration->Reset Counts On Dismiss
    - Added Xcast option to allow connection.
    Configuration->Xcast Configuration->Allow Xcast to Connect
    - Added Xcast intervals for 8 12 18 and 24 hour updates
    Configuration->Xcast Configuration->Set Update Interval
    - Changed Hide Alert Selection to be less confusing.

    Test away! Let me know if you find any bugs.

    ---------------------------------------------------------

    Changes in beta 12

    - All truncation issues with the carrier plugin should now be fixed for the 800w. This includes all of the Xcast formats.

    - Added a display option to show when the Ringer switch is off (Treo only). You add it in rotation along with the other display options you have set. If the Ringer switch is off you will see "Ringer Off" flash. It will not display if the Ringer switch is on.

    - Added a Display configuration option to show only enabled alerts. This works with the display option "VM=0 MC=0 SM=0 EM=0" and when pending alerts are flashing. For example if email alerts are disabled the display will show "VM=0 MC=0 SM=0", and when you have pending alerts it might look like "VM=1 MC=2 SM=5". For all other display options Treo Alerts will only display the alerts that are pending and will not show any disabled counts. For example if Email is disabled and there are pending SMS and Email alerts you will just see "SMS=1".

    - Added support for GOOD email and calendar. I couldn't test this so please let me know if it's working for you.

    - Added a 3rd display plugin choice. Windows Mobile has a native carrier today plugin called netui.dll. It has a full text area and included status for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. If selected it brings up the Wireless Manager. If you select this plugin in the Display Configuration Treo Alerts will use this plugin for its display options. Note that the text display for this plugin is not quite as quick as the other choices so flashing display alerts may not flash.

    - Changed the installer to not wipe out previous Treo Alerts settings so you don't have to reconfigure each time you install a new version.

    - Bug fixes for reminder vibes. Note that if multiple alerts are pending the vibe precedence order used by the reminder is the following:
    Voicemail
    Missed call
    SMS
    Email
    Other Reminders such as Calendar, alarms etc.

    - Various other changes including new About page, updated "View Current Settings" page and other bug fixes found along the way.

    Beta Testers, please test out all of the new features and verify all of the old features still work. Thanks!

    ---------------------------------------------------------

    Changes in beta 11

    - huge code changes and cleanup
    - added multivibe support configurable per alert type
    - support for vibes during initial alert

    Since TreoAlerts now does vibe on initial alert you should turn off any vibe settings for the following Events in Sounds & Notifications:
    Inbox: New e-mail message
    Messaging: New Message
    Messaging: New text message
    Phone: Known Caller
    Phone: Missed call
    Phone: Unknown Caller
    Phone: Voice mail
    Reminders

    - added vibe during ring for duration of ring
    - new Alert Settings Menu options

    (5):=LED & REMINDER & VIBE
    (4):=LED & REMINDER
    (3):=VIBE & REMINDER
    (2):=LED & VIBE
    (1):=LED ALERT ONLY
    (D):=DISABLED

    - new Alerts Configuration

    Set Vibe Alert Styles
    Vibe when Ringer on: Yes/No
    Vibe when Ringer off: Yes/No

    - Vibe Tweak & Test menus
    - Changed all On/Off menu items to be less confusing
    - Added Cody's fix to stop alerts when on call for non-Treo devices

    Since there were massive code changes I'm sure there are a few bugs for all of you beta testers to find and report.

    Test Away!

    ---------------------------------------------

    Fixes in beta 10

    - fixed sms count and set 0 on dismiss
    - fixed vibrate
    - fixed timer bug
    - fixed runaway led blink

    Known issues:

    =========== General Issues ============
    - For devices other than the Treo 700, 800 and 750 series the only LED color and blink rate is defined by how your carrier coded up the NLED API. It is usually a green or orange blink. If you have a device that has a special driver coded up to control color or blink rates let me know and I'll include it in Treo Alert for you.

    =========== 800w specific known issues =============

    - No known issues remain for the 800w

    =========== Treo Pro specific known issues ===========

    - No LED support for the Pro.

    Let me know if you find any other issues.

    Test away!

    Known issues:
    - The 800w's carrier plugin only gives half the screen width for text so there is a lot of text truncation going on. I'll look into adjusting the width using a resource editor. In the meantime you are better served configuring TA to use the Billboard Today plugin in the Display Configuration menu.

    - The Billboard today plugin only refreshes a portion of the plugin after a menu has overlayed it. Just a visual issue that goes away when you open a program and close it.

    - The bluetooth icons are smallish in the Billboard today plugin.

    - The vibrate alerts don't work yet.

    - The only color the led blinks is green no matter which colors you have configured to use.

    - The missed sms blinking status only ever shows 1 missed sms no matter how many are pending.

    Let me know if you find any other issues.
    This at least provides the majority of features for Treo 800w users. The vibrate bug I'll have fixed soon. The other known issues may take a little time to fix.

    Man that's a great start... thank you!!!! I use the blinking light more than anything so it is very much appreciated.

    Well heck Cody...Do a ESN swap from your 8330 to WX for a few days then come back to the dark side when you have to do those hard resets or just throw some money into a 800w and buy 6 back up batteries and all will be well but now to the catch..If you watch alot of Sprint TV during the day you may have to invest in 8 back up batteries.
    Im starting to dig Sprint TV while driving.
    My 8330 battery took a major dent today though... I only had 71% battery life left after 4 hours of viewing Fox news on Sprint TV.

    Ok, just an update. I plan to work on this a bit Sunday to work out more of the 800w issues. I should at least get vibe working. Gonna try some later versions of Billboard to see if it fixes the plugin issues I'm seeing.
