So, I got a new palm 700wx as a replacement from palm today, for the one that died a few weeks ago, the earpiece died.

Not sure if this is a refurb or not, does anyone know how to tell?

Anyhow, I naiivly tried to do a backup restore of my data, from sprite backup which I have used before, but of course there is enough DEVICE ID differance, that it would not restore any MAIL settings. It THOUGHT it had the mail settings there, in that it wouldn't let me recreate mail with the same NAME, but there were no apparent mail settings there.

So, I deleted everything again, hard reset, and RESTORED without checking the MAIL to restore. But, I have the feeling that some database information is still there, since without mail it should have been a bit less storage used.

Is there an area in Windows, or somewhere where the mail is stored, that I could just delete.

Anyone know how to check device hours, or anything similar?
    thanks

yep, refurb. Minutes shows 203, must have been a 30 day return. Warranty date is 08/30, doesn't really make sense, that would be WAY early for a 700wx
