Don't know if you guys caught this post:

    http://discussion.treocentral.com/sh...d.php?t=138658

Looks like a 1380mah battery in the 1200mah (OEM) form factor. A little bit of improvement over the same-size 1300mah battery(1300mah) offered by Seidio.

Unfortunately, the battery is listed out of stock. This might be the best we get in the OEM form factor. Any little bit will help (I guess).

A 2000mah with minimal increase in size and a 3300 battery are also offered.

if someone can somehow make a 2000mah in the oem factor, I think almost EVERYONE would jump on it like white on rice. I remember I purchased a 2400mah battery from lion battery in the oem 1800mah form for my 700w

Do you or anyone have one of this and can comment on it's performance and reliability?

    Sorry, I don't.

And I'm asking people, but I don't know nothing about proporta's batteries. I know about cases and so, and they are good quality.

From PDAExpertos.com (they tested the Proporta USB Mobile Device Charger ):

deCorvett: Aún no he probado las sustitutivas de las nativas de los Treo, pero la Batería USB Proporta de 3400 mAh que probé para PDA Expertos hace poco, es magnífica en todo:

    http://www.pdaexpertos.com/Analisis/...Proporta.shtml

    Saludos,
deCorvett: I don't have tested yet the standar battery replacementent for Treo, but the 3400 mAh Proporta USB Mobile Device Charger (USB Rechargeable Battery) tested for PDAExpertos some time ago is absolutely fantastic:

    http://www.pdaexpertos.com/Analisis/...Proporta.shtml

I imagine Proporta doesn't make it's batteries itself, they adquire to an asian manufacturer, but their products are very good generally, that is good for their image.

    (Sorry for the bad translation)

Hmmm, I'm tempted to order one except I don't usually like to use non OEM replacement parts.

Dude, it's not like it's going to harm your device or anything. Go on....take a chance....what do you really have to lose?

I used the original Lion 2200 mAh in my Treo 650 for two years. Great battery. Not a single issue with it. Delivered and continued to deliver the promised power.

I would love to know the performance. If it truly improves battery life this company is going to get a flood of orders!

Guys, the proporta battery is a typo on their website. I emailed them and was confirmed today that there was indeed an increase in size. Sorry for the bad news. Here's the email that was sent to me:
    -----------------------------------------
    Hi,

You are correct, the battery is deeper than the standard sized battery due to the increased capacity. I have passed this to the marketing department who are going to amend the description on our website. The item comes with a replacement back cover for the Treo 680 which accommodates the larger battery.

Thank you for you alerting us of this,

    --------------------------------------------------------

    My original question was:

I would like to confirm the capacity of the Treo 750 standard battery replacement (sku 11101) listed on your website. A 2000mAh capacity seems impossible without increasing the size of the battery. Is this real or a typo? Thanks.
    ----------------------------------------------------------

I replied to their email and asked them to look into developing larger cap batteries without the size increase. Will keep you guys updated if I hear anything from them.

Alright, they are now starting to irk me. I just got this email after my reply to request them to look at the possibility for a larger battery cap without increasing the size.

    ------------------------------------
    Hi there,

I just had a word with our sourcing manager regarding your request, and I've
made an error. The standard Treo 680 battery (SKU 11101) is 2000mAh, and is
exactly the same size as the original Treo 680 battery. We do also sell a
3300mAh 'extended' battery, which is larger and does come with a replacement
rear cover to accommodate this extra size.

    Hope this helps,

    ----------------------------------------------------

Guys, the 680 battery also fits the 750 right?

Final word from Proporta after I asked them to double-check:

    -------------------
    Hi,

I think we've opened a can of worms here! I went to the warehouse myself to
look into this, as I was sceptical of having a higher capacity with the same
footprint battery. The only possible reason would be that Palm would want
to keep the weight down and so have a battery which wasn't as full as it
could be - which didn't seem enough to tell you without checking myself.

The item from the warehouse (SKU 11101) does come with a replacement battery
cover. I spoke again to the Sourcing Manager who it seems misread the
supplies sheet. We are able to offer a battery with a 1380mAh capacity,
which is definitely the same physical size as the standard battery, as
opposed to the 2000mAh and 3300mAh that we currently offer. This does offer
a 15% increase in capacity. Please let me know if you think that this would
be of interest to yourself and possibly others on the forums as we don't
    sell this at present.

The SKU 11101 is the same for both the 680 and 750. This is because it is
the same battery, but there are two different items due to a different
    coloured rear cover.

Apologies for mis-informing you. It now looks like we have gotten to the
bottom of this error so can change the site to ensure we aren't supplying
    incorrect information about our products.

    Kind regards,
    ------

so in other words, the 2000 mah one they offer is an increase in size and therefore, needs an extended replacement cover. well this blows.

Yep, pretty much blows. I think the technology at the moment is such that it's impossible to push for a higher mAh without size increase.

Id purchase a 1380mAh battery with the same size footprint for my Treo 680. The thing is, I was going to purchase a second battery to keep in a pouch in my wallet, might as well throw my current 1200mAh Palm battery in there and stick a 1380mAh battery in my Treo 680.

However, if you guys can get something a little closer to 1800mAh, the original shipping battery type for the 650, that would be amazing! I never bought an extended battery for my 650, never needed a 2400mAh or 3300mAh, 1800mAh does fine.

I thought the extended battery and cover on the Blackjack made the phone horrible and thick, I can only imagine what my Treo 750 would be like if I added a heavier battery and thicker cover.
