I don't see why if you don't use network time and go manual.
I installed it. It cause my phone's backlight to not stay on no matter how many times I reset the timer or soft reset the unit. After restoring to the day before the install the problem disappeared.

I installed it and I had no problems. But you need to follow the directions to the tee.

Pay special attention to these steps after applying the patch:
    For a Pocket PC:

Go to Start > Settings > Clock & Alarms > Time tab.
Change the current time zone to any time zone other than the one that is currently selected.
Tap OK and tap Yes to save changes to the clock settings.
Change the current time zone to the one you want to use.
Tap OK and tap Yes to save changes to the clock settings.

You may want to read the page as I posted earlier http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobi...g/default.mspx. It tells you not just the steps that you need to follow but the reasons why.

When I click on the link to install the DST update for WM5.0 devices that don't sync with PC and instead sync to Exchange, I get an invalid page error. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobi...ings_1033.mspx

Do others find this too? Do you think MS took this off their site for some reason?

I'm getting a bit concerned that the MS link for the patch still doesn't work. And Sprint has been silent on this, while VZ has sent out an update. Could it simply be that Sprint can take care of this on a network level, for those of us who use ActiveSync with Exchange?
