I looking at getting a 2gb Mini SD card for my Treo 750, but which one works without a problem (disappearing/not recognized miniSD card) . I've read a couple of posts that mentioned the Palm brand Mini SD works without a problem. Any others? It sees like Kingston, Corsair, Sandisk, etc have a problem with the Treo. Either the cards don't get recognized or they disappear from memory after a while.

I bought a generic 4GB from a company called Grassroots Computer at ebay. Works great in my 750 and computer. Plus, they are dirt cheap. I paid about $50 for mine.

I have a Sandisk 2 GB. At first, it gave me problems, but now it seems to be working. Not sure what it is, but I didn't format the card or anything. In the beginning, it would ocassionally not recognize the card when the Treo wakes up, but now works flawlessly.

Anyone have experience with A-data or Transcend miniSD cards?
HP has officially ruined it's own platform and kicked webOS loyalists and early TouchPad adopters to the curb. You think after you drop it like a hot potato and mention it made no money and is costing you money, anyone else wants it??? Way to go HP!!

And some people are fools to keep believing their hype. HP has shown they will throw webOS under the bus and people are still having faith in them??? News flash: if it's own company won't stand behind it, it's finished!

I'm using the A-data card ordered from:

    http://www.meritline.com/2gb-secure-...-sd-cards.html

Seems to work fine. I did just have an issue where it appeared that the card was full (it didnt disappear from the phone) but did a soft reset and everything is fine. I payed $18 last week for the 2 GB A-data card and it looks like you can get it for $16 bucks now. Looks like they have the transcend card as well. Hey, I figure 18 bucks is not that big of a loss if the card totally is crap vs. paying upward toward a $100 for one that craps out.

I agree, I can't imagine paying $60-70 for a 2gb card from Palm, while you can get the same size card for $20.

I'm using Kingston and have disappearing probs with it. People on XDA Developers say the 2GB Transcend it fine, but I believe the 4GB has probs. I have also heard the generic 4GB on Ebay are fine, but supposedly although they are generic, they seem to be made with Samsung memory.

I use a Transcend 2gb 80X mini SD and it works pretty well. No complaints so far.

Can someone here recommend a reputable online vendor for the 4GB generic Samsung card? Also, what prices are competitive for the 4GB miniSD that people are paying for here? I am filling my 2GB too quickly!!

Is there any benifit to getting the Sandisk Ultra versus the regular Sandisk card for speed? Also is there anyway to override the 2gb max in order to use a 4gb? Thanks

I believe the 4GB will work without anything other than putting the card in. The only thing is it seems to be the generic 4GB cards from Ebay that work, I believe I have also seen A-Data 4GB cards mentioned that work.

Thanks, WTF. I think I will get the generic one since there seems to be consensus here.
