I have used e- since version 2.something. I'm very happy with it. In fact the only complaint thay I have is that it doesn't have a desktop app for my Mac.

LOL - they are both great, tough choice. They're also both made by real blue-chip companies with excellent support - so no help choosing there.

One thing that you *might* consider as I believe you are one for using a variety of different devices and even Mobile OSes. eWallet works on WM, Palm, Symbian, and even UMPCs. Not sure FlexWallet has quite as extensive a reach in this area. So eWallet may be the one you can think of as more portable between all devices ...

It's ok, but it's very far from a great app, imho.
Sorry I didn't get a chance to post earlier but Synching with two computers should work fine, especially with eWallet 5.0. Give us a call ( 888-632-5388)or email (support@iliumsoft.com) and I'm sure we can help.

After migrating from Palm to Windows OS, I'm faced with manually entering 100+ passwords if I change to another password vault software like eWallet. I can export from my current vault, DataShield. Is anyone aware if any of these platforms provide a standard import or conversion feature? Thx!

    What about 3 computers?

Or what I'd really like is to be able to sync my desktop with my PPC and a USB drive. Cuz I use 3 different computers, and I don't active sync with them all, a. cuz I can't and b. cuz it's too much work. So if I could keep one computer, my ppc and my thumb drive all synchronized, I'd be in business.

Well, aparently my issue with multiple computers and eWallet is/was because I was running the 4.1 version not 5.0. The 5.0 version solves it in spades. They sync options are really awesome. You can sync with multiple pcs, online locations, network stuff. Just awesome.

I should also add that their support is top-notch. Prompt, courteous and customer-oriented.

    Thumbs Up!

I have to take a moment to say that Yes, Ilium Support is always sterling - the mark of a company that has been around a while and is here to stay.

I think nearly all apps of this type should allow you to export your data to something common like .csv or .txt format. Then most of them (it varies by product of course) should import those 2 formats as well. But then it's probably a bit of a game to see how much you have to monkey around with the info once it's in the new program - matching up fields that didn't match and all that sort of thing ...

Oddly enough, most password vaults do have an export feature (.csv, .xls,...), but do not have an import feature. Does anyone have experience with a password platform that has a built-in import feature? Thx!

For what it's worth, eWallet supports an add on utility to import from the following platforms:

CodeWallet, FlexWallet, SplashID, and TurboPasswords (Cloak).

    Check: http://www.iliumsoft.com/site/ew/ewi_main.htm

.csv files can be imported as SplashID files. Phew!

Yep. You can quite literally sync between as many devices and computers as you like and set a sync direction to each device for each wallet letting you do things like sync to the local computer to make a backup but ONLY sync TO the backup.

Since eWallet's maker responds here, I think I will go with eWallet Pro. Thanks for helping me make the decision Illium!!
HP has officially ruined it's own platform and kicked webOS loyalists and early TouchPad adopters to the curb. You think after you drop it like a hot potato and mention it made no money and is costing you money, anyone else wants it??? Way to go HP!!

And some people are fools to keep believing their hype. HP has shown they will throw webOS under the bus and people are still having faith in them??? News flash: if it's own company won't stand behind it, it's finished!

Code Wallet by www.DeveloperOne.com should have its moment in the spot light. Theses are the folks who make Agenda One as well.

I am very pleased with Code Wallet and the desktop partner. The sync between Mobile and Desktop works very easy.

I'm looking for a password-protected filing system too. From what I can see eWallet Pro can import text files but then Pro costs more than eWallet and the competition.
Does anyone know if any of the following provide text import facilities?:
    Password Manager
    JSJ Wallet
    DataShield
