Is it possible to change the Treo 750 to use the standard Microsoft SMS program?

Reason: I'm using Jeyo's Mobile Extender for Outlook to backup my SMS programs and restore them to the phone after a hard reset. Palm's SMS program is storing the messages in some non-standard database and it doesn't work well (or at all) with Jeyo.

(Side note: Jeyo also lets you receive and send SMS from your desktop when your phone is cradled).

Alternatively: As a second resort, is there any way to backup and restore SMS messages on the T750?

Funny, since everyone without a 750 wants this program...lol

There is a file in Windows called Palmmsgvol or something like that that contains all of your sms files. I would just use that to backup if you need to.

Don't get me wrong ... I love the Palm SMS app as much as the next guy. I just hate to lose the functionality I've been using.

Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate it.
