Today my new short Antenna arrived! Installation was easy. It only took about a minute. My signal strength is the same as it always was, and I even get 4 bars at the office where I used to only get 3!

    Its a good product, IMHO.

How long did it take to get it once you ordered?

Shipping in the US is 3-5 days.

    Thanks for the kind words.

I bought this antenna, and also didnt see any drop in reception, but I only had the estock antenna on for less than a day, so I cant be 100% sure. The only problems I had were the color (I ordered black, but shouldve ordered bue, totally my faut) and the fit and finish. I know it was originally designed for the 650, so I tried the suggested fix. I got it as close as I could, but its still not perfecty flush (a little short in the front, and hange over a bit in the rear) no bigie, but Im kindof a oerfectionist when it comes to stuff like this.

I also ordered the other short antenna (cant remen=mber the name of the guy, but its posted many times on here) It installed oerfectly, just like Zoti's, and I actually like the fact that it doesnt cover the raised half circle on yhe original antenna base. I did notice a 1 bar decrease in some areas over the Zoti antenna, but it hasnt affected service so far. Overall, I love both, but for now Im sticking with the non-Zoti one (is it called the Zero antenna, or is that Zoti's?) simply because of tthe fit/finish/color problems I mentioned.

I guess the real test is to bring both shorties, and the stock antenna to my house in PA, located in the woods, and only has one sot in the house where I could ever get reception. Ill try all three there, and let you guys know my results.
    Be good everyone. :-)

I ordered one Friday evening after gettign home from work.

It was waiting for me in my mailbox tonight (Monday) when I got home.

    Very cool!

Signal strength is lower though. I should say that my home is a tough place for any cell phone - so the jury is still out. I'll see what it's like for hte next few days. Hope I don't have to put the old antenna back in.

I'm very happy with my treoantenna.com antenna. If I'm experiencing any signal loss, it's very minimal. And I'm still getting 700-800kbit/sec EVDO speeds...

    Hi Zoti,

You planning on running any sales or discount codes in the near future? $20 sounds a LOT better than $30....that's my point at which I make the purchase.

    Thanks!!!!!

I was about to order one of these, but I have to say that the $6.95 shipping really surprised me.

From personal experience, however, the screwdriver is a nice addition (and worth the extra $). I thought I had the correct torx screw driver in my toolkit, but in the end I did not. Ended up going out to Home Depot and spending extra money to get the correct size...

haha yeah same thing happened to me. I bet I bought the same "Husky Torx Screwdriver" you did. About $6? haha

I decided to add the Torx #5 screwdriver to my products after I found out how hard it is to get one when I was designing the antenna. Most places sell the #6 Torx or you have to buy a big set of Torx bits just to get the #5.

Only a few places carry the #5 Torx.

OK - so I've had it for a couple of days now and have switched back and forth to compare.

My conclusion is that by using the short antenna, one does loose some reception. In some extreme cases, I can get a 60% signal strength from the stock antenna and the shorty won't even get a signal.

In most cases it ranges from 10% to 30%.

    Most noticeable is indoors.

So if you're in an area where you always have great reception, this little antenna will work well for you. But if you're in an area where you have trouble getting a signal or have minimal signal strength, the little antenna will make it worse.

Your mileage may vary. This is just what I've experienced.
