    Trying to get Opera mini to work. I found this

    but I'm not entirely sure what it is. Is there a standard Java VM for download?

    Most people use the IBM J9 midlet manager, but the one you reference supports softkeys which the IBM one didn't the last time I used it.

    You can download the IBM J9 MIDP runtimes here:

    I've installed it on my Treo 750v and it works fine. The only item I found inconvenient is that there is no way to browse the file system when you are installing a midlet in the Emulator/Midlet Manager. You must type the entire location in the URL field. Besides that everying runs great!

    This is the best java runtime imo. I have used it on a MDA and Treo 750 and it works flawlessly. The latest version no makes use of the hard keys in opera mobile. Gmail works fine too. I have not used the google maps because they now have hte WM5 client.
