Page 311 says this 770V runs Windows Mobile Edition 5.2. (Phone Edition) but my 750V runs 5.0....Is this a new WM5 then ?

Jesus, I've just reduced the size of the PDF view and at the top it says

"FINAL SIGNOFF DRAFT Palm, Inc. Confidential"

Looks like Vodaphone have made a big mistake here

I thought I read somewhere 5.2 was akin to 5.0 with AKU 2
    Palm III > HS Visor > Treo 600 > Treo 650 > Treo 750 > Treo Pro > PrePlus GSM

"95% of all software issues are due to USER ERROR."

I am not sure ... the revision bars are too often on the sections where 770v is mentioned.

This is an internal document, not something which was supposed to be released to public.

It's the same documentation as the 750. No mention of Wifi features or a design change. It's probably a document that was created before the powers-that-be knew what the official name of the device was going to be.

    I wouldn't get too excited.

It is a typo, the newer revision of the Treo 750v user guide has a reference to Treo 770 in it.

It's a typo, calm down. I'd rather they fix existing bugs than come out with a new model.

I'd only agree that it was a typo if it appeared in one or two places. It appears all over that doc. That, and there is no discernable sign of photoshopping the text in there.

Not saying that anyone is wrong, just that after an iPhone announcement, this "find" is pretty dubious wouldn't you say.

Find and Replace error? The specs seem exactly the same as the 750v.

I feel you naftalim. Just saying more than the mistyping, the timing is more of a weird number that's all.

    Agree.
The revision bars are also too coincidental ...

it looks to me that this is the 750v user manual before they finalized on the actual number scheme. ie, they thought it would be a 770 but then finally named it 750. I see no differences inspecs between the 750 and what is listed here as a 770
