Hi, I saw the thread on how to do this with a 650. Wondering if anyone can show how to do the same with the 750? Job requirements ...

Black Testors paint and a small paintbrush.

Anyone tried removing the camera on a Treo 750 yet? Disabling it is not good enough for my case.

What occupations require you to disable the camera? I've seen this before and just wondered.
HP has officially ruined it's own platform and kicked webOS loyalists and early TouchPad adopters to the curb. You think after you drop it like a hot potato and mention it made no money and is costing you money, anyone else wants it??? Way to go HP!!

And some people are fools to keep believing their hype. HP has shown they will throw webOS under the bus and people are still having faith in them??? News flash: if it's own company won't stand behind it, it's finished!

Many government contractors don't allow camera phones in the plant, also many courthouses.

so ... does anyone have a more substantial insight than just covering the camera?

You might want to look at the Treo 650 forum where there are a couple of threads on removing or disabling the camera. I would be astonished if similar techniques did not work for the 750 (ignoring the software-disable approaches.)

A lot depends on how picky the folks are whom you have to convince that there is no camera.

You can get the 750 without a camera, but that is probably not helpful to you if you already have one!

Yes, there definitely is a non-camera 750 available. I almost bought one from a privately owned store, till I noticed it. It was Cingular branded also.

eBay has some of the non-camera versions. They go much cheaper too.

Looks like I'm kinda late on this. Tried searching through eBay, and I can't find anyone selling the Treo 750v without camera.

If you have a little plate made up to stick over the camera and the mirror... I am certain it couls pass as a non camera Treo...

A small rectangular plate could easily be made to stick right over it. If made right it could look factory.. Hell I'd try to use some of that Aluminum Foil tape used for sheet metal ducts.
