If you are one of the lucky ones who has the Cingular 750 already we would all LOVE to hear your reports. I will not get mine until tomorrow, but for a site that was booming when the 680 came out, this is pretty slow...LET US KNOW

Might be kinda slow cause of the people who posted with experiences on the 750v? Also, seems like only the West Coast has them for sale right now.

I flashed my old 750v with a Cingular ROM and things never worked quite right. I now have a Cingular 750 and am enjoying it quite a bit so far

Wow. The device really hasn't filtered out to the retail channels yet. Even the people that ordered from the Cingular Premier most likely are waiting for the device to be shipped.

The 750 isn't available on Premier yet.

Well so far I haven't found any real problems or even things I really don't like with the 750 and WM5. All the reviews have been right on - you can pretty much do everything with one hand - who would've thought with a Microsoft OS device!

I got HSDPA running after using the 2 SetHSDPA files (exe and shortcut) from the download, not by making my own shortcut for some reason. Download speeds consistently above 830 - top end at 984 kbits/sec in N. Dallas (Allen).

Screen resolution difference vs my old 650 is a faint memory - I really did not even notice the change - the screen is very crisp and clear. Perfectly fine.

    Have installed (so far)

    SpB Pocket Plus
    Pocket Informant 2007
    Fleximail 2007
    Newsbreak (Great news reader!)
    PhatPad4
    Pocket Bible
Pocket Player (also great music player)
    Resco File Explorer
PIEPlus for IE useability - a must in my book.

Added 2 Gig Kingston mini-SD card and ordered Sena Leather magnetic black/blue flip case and clip.

Phone quality is much improved over the 650 from the folks and family I have asked, although personally I could still use a bit of volume boost on top end - spoiled by Volume Care I guess.

Love the multi-tasking of WM5 - never realized the limitations of the Palm OS before - I certainly do now. Plenty of memory to do anything I need.

Lots and lots of tweaking capability - the one thing I don't mind Microsoft for - and lots of software. Pretty much a replacement for everything I used to have on Palm - I see absolutely no need to run an emulator for old Palm programs.

Tried Opera and Netfront - ended up choosing PIE Plus as the add in for Pocket IE - works great, stays out of the way, is fast and makes surfing the internet at high speed a joy.

I do alot of internet access on my device - with HSDPA speeds I see no need for wireless save for non-bluetooth access to a network. Finally the internet keeps up with my fast attention span.

Feel of device vs 650 is much nicer! Smaller, more compact - feels finally like a phone. I am very happy with the spend - a solid improvement over the 650. Enjoy yours!

I just picked up mine today at a Cingular store. Coming from the 8525, it is very snappy. Even Slingplayer seems to play better on the 750 than the 8525. I LOVE the keyboard but I'm having a hard time getting used to the smaller screen. Also, I put in the Spectec Wifi card and it works pretty well in my home network.

Things I'm missing about the 8525 already:

    - scroll wheell on the left
    - bigger screen
    - fixed buttons for email and IE on top

Otherwise, the 1.3MP vs 2.0MP cam isn't an issue. Surprisingly, UMTS although slower seems more predictable and stable than the HSDPA on the 8525. The 8525 downloads faster but stalls quite a bit from time to time while the 750 just keeps chugging with downloads.

One thing I do not like - and miss from the 650 - the ability to hit the down rocker button and get into speedials quickly.

I have all my reps on fast call that way and it is a real pain to have to search for names each and every time, or make speed dial buttons on the keypad. Have not been able to find a replacement yet.

Also - no KeyCaps replacement, another pain - Qoolapps coming out with one, so that may not be as big an issue.

Opera, with few tweaks to input.ini (to improve the one hand operations) is, by far, better than Ie + pie+

Opera still has problems with some sites, especially when it comes to text entry. I purchased v8.x for PPC and wound up going back to IE and PIEPlus.

I have several email accounts, yahoo being one of them. I don't pay for "yahoo extra" which means I don't have POP3 access to my mailbox.
