Get yourself a Slingbox and you can stream your cable or home video to device no matter where you are. Comes in handy when shopping with the wife or waiting on line at the supermarket!

This is my answer also. You can also save video's/music onto your computer and stream them through ORB. Another great program

Here's something cool. When using UMTS as a tethered modem, you can still receive phone calls and talk at the same time.

    Surur

Can you explain this a bit further? I am getting mad trying to find a tutorial on how to set up the 750v as a modem on my iBook

Has anyone successfully run a VoIP client (Skype, Wengo, etc) under 3G ?
Am travelling to Japan in mid-January, and was hoping this would work.

I did. You need to find a previous version of Skype which is hosted somewhere on this forum (do a search, I can't remember the link).

    A couple of things:

    1. I used Orb, didn't like the security issues and opted for a Sling Box. Nice, nice, nice

    2. Also, if you like to play Texas Hold'em, try the RealDice verison - runs via the internet with real players.

    3. Also, WebMessenger for real time chat and messaging. It work flawlessly and the developers give a nice discount after downloading - total cost $21.87.

Finally, I had PDANet and got lots of dropped connections. Went with the Modem Link that comes with the Vodafone - flawless.

    Hope this helps.

PS - did you try my other post on speeding up the connection for the HSDPA. Takes the speed to about 850 vs 280.

I use UMTS to surf and check email on my 750v. On occasion I use it as a modem for my notebook. I tried skype 2.2 beta on it but wasn't really pleased with the results [YMMV I have crappy UMTS here in Manila]
