My geek spirit forced me to get a 750v, just to play with it and with the firm intention of getting rid of it in couple weeks to go back to my faithful 650. I am a PalmOS man and was pretty sure of this. Still, right after only 6 hours of intense use, I am just hooked with this device and the way WM and th Treo match.
    The worse: the battery life

that can be fixed with an extended battery. for that matter a car charger and maybe a charger at work can make thing better as well.

plus, once you quite playing with it all day the battery will last longer as well. lol

LOL, you're right. I just can't help playing with it. I guess I will go for an extender battery or I am afraid I'll go back to my 650 battery life is a must for me

I bought another standard battery until something with more capacity in the same size comes out. Pretty small and works for me.
    Main Phone: Treo 270/600/650/700w/700p/750v/Motorola Q/iPhone
    Tried but sold: Motorola Q/Nokia E61/700wx/HTC TyTN/Treo 680

How bad is the battery, I assume it lasts the day?

All depends on how much you use it. If you browse the web for hours, then no it won't last the day. If it's mostly in standby, with some short calls and email then yes it will last the day.

How fast are your data speeds? Is web browsing MUCH faster than the 650?
    Apple iPhone 8GB
    Apple 15" Macbook Pro 2.33 Ghz C2D
    Retired Treo 650

I usually get 8-9's in this area, you cannot even compare a 650 to this.

I am connecting via GPRS, prices of UMTS in Europe are terrible, and here there are not big differences. However, 750v is overall faster than 650 on web browsing

where were you able to purchase one in the U.S. with the option of returning it? After giving the BlackJack the old college try, I can barely hold out for Cingular's official release of the 750 and would like to get my hands on one now!!!

    Thanks.

I am a Vodafone customer and get 200-300 kbs, which is not much but enough for me to check the mail. I believe, correct me if I'm wrong, that is at least 3 times the speed of a GPRS connection

nice, gotta love the burst of speed you get!

but i wanted to add to this that i've had the phone for about 2 weeks now and there's no complaints it works as it should, a phone and then a pda. I get my corp email sometimes faster than my outlook on my desktop.
