Can the Treo 700wx's built in GPS locator(for 911 mainly I guess) be used at all with any NAV functions like Windows Live Search? It sure would be nice if WLS could figure out where I am without my external BT GPS receiver. Thanks.

I too would love this feature. I just ditched my Sanyo 8300 for my 700wx, and on the Sanyo, I could use a 'locate me' function on go2.com, but no such luck on my treo. It really is a shame. It would just use whatever cell tower I was near to approximate my location. Anyone know why this function disappears with the treo, or any sites that do use a similar feature?

The GPS device in the phone does not support it.

I think it is the same reason why we dont get sprint tv and a lot of the other fluff that comes on even the cheapest of their handsets.

What that reason is I dont know!

That is because they would have to make WM versions of their software, and I'm sure they figure since there are so many free alternatives out there, there would be little demand for it. I happen to agree with that. You can even get mobitv for the same price.
