When I cable connect and try to Activesync, the green eye just spins and spins and gives up with a red x. It says it's connected... and that makes sense because I can Explore files on the phone. When I run through the Troubleshooting Wizard, it does some "scanning" of the system and then points me to a generic MSFT KB article that tells me that I may have a bad connection... which doesn't explain the fact that I can browse files.

I'm 1 month in, and I say this phone sux0r.

It could be a number of things. One: It could be your cable. Or it could be the usb slot that you have it in.

I just swapped the phone and grabbed another cable. I'll know more tomorrow at work when I try again. If you hear someone screaming bloody murder in Northern Colorado, that probably means the new cable didn't help.

    Thanks for the reply!

Well, the screaming you may have heard wasn't from phone issues (I want to thank my lovely daughter for bringing home a nice 24 hour virus and sharing it with the family)... I'm back to work but forgot the new cable. New phone + old cable still doesn't work, so I'm betting cable.
