The SIP hack is just this:

    1. I found the following registry key - HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sip\AllowChange=1
    2. I changed the above value to AllowChange=0
    3. Soft Reset

NOTE: To re-enable, change the registry key back to 1, reset again.

Hannip, can you post links to the XDA hacks mentioned?
    Treo 600 > Treo 650 > Treo 700p > Treo 700wx -> Mogul -> Touch Pro

You can either change the registry to permanently disable the Popup keyboard or there is this method, which launches a "Null" keyboard (e.g. blank) on startup, but leaves the pop-up keyboard as a selectable option (personally I don't like permanently disabling the pop up as I do use it on occasion):

Well now that we touched upon essential programs on peoples Treos, which I would like to hear more about. I wanted to discuss accessories that people have which I will list what I have below.

    Invisible Shield
I think this product is awesome check out the website I got my treo done at a local mall cost 30 buck but well worth it I think.
    http://www.shieldzone.com/item_descr...EO700FULL.html

I also have 2 silicon covers which I do not use anymore do to the above product.

Seidio extented 2400 mAh battery which I think everyone should have.http://www.seidioonline.com/index.asp

I also recently got the slingbox a/v model with slingplayer mobile btw I called slingmedia and they were very nice about giving me the slingplayer mobile for free I would suggest call them and be nice maybe they'll do the same for you. Also I wanted to tell you it has saved me from bordom on more then one occasion.
    http://us.slingmedia.com/page/home

    Blue Tooth
The simple motorola 850 headset its decent not the best but I plan to only get a new headset(stereo) if someone can get the a2dp to work on the Treo.

Oh yeah a couple more items i have from Seidio I purchase the battery cover with the reset hole. I also have the crystal case from them as well but that turned out to be a piece of crap and waste of money.

Well this about covers it for me if I have anything else i'll be sure to list it.

Hannip - do you have a link for the sirius WM5? I found a few sites through Google, but am hesitant to download the programs without verification that it functions!

As for "must-have" accessories, for me it's the Smartphone US700 Ultra Slim Case in frosted clear (a.k.a. the condom). The nicest feature for me is that it covers the five-way navigation area (don't know the technical term for that region of the phone), which is prone to attracting my makeup... It's easy to wipe off the case, not so easy to wipe out of the crevices of the phone.

For software ... many of the above plus:
    Earthcomber - www.earthcomber.com
    IM+
    Sbp Pocket Plus - http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/products/pocketplus/?en
    Weatherpane (http://www.marsware.net/WeatherPanel/main.htm)
    PDANet

It disables the super annoying software keyboard. The soft keyboard really has little use on a treo device other than to get in your way.

    My accessories

    Seidio's Clarity kit
    http://www.seidioonline.com/index.as...ROD&ProdID=403

I happen to like the crystal case. It's easy to slip into my pocket and doesn't ruin the treo's appearance. Seidio had improved the crystal case. Read about it here.
    http://discussion.treocentral.com/sh...d.php?t=128770

    Seidio 2400mAh battery
    http://www.seidioonline.com/index.as...ROD&ProdID=260

    Anycom HS890 bluetooth headset
    http://www.jr.com/JRProductPage.proc...urce=nsa&nsa=1

Radio Shack 2.5mm to 3.5mm stereo headphone adapter.

    Jensen wireless stereo headphone kit
    http://www.amazon.com/Jensen-Univers...bosnation0e-20

    Samsung wireless stereo headphones.
    http://www.mobile-review.com/review/...bh100-en.shtml

    Digital Cellular repeater.
    http://www.digitalantenna.com/cellamprep_DA4000MR.html

The price on the repeater varies greatly from store to store. I got mine for $280.

I've also installed switchable aux inputs for my car stereo for playing my treo in my car (switches between stereo, treo and sirius). I used an FM transmitter for a while but it didn't sound that great so I have a direct input now. I'm planning on installing an a2dp receiver so I can connect my treo wirelessly to my car stereo.

Edit: I forgot to add I have an A-Data 4GB 150x sd card and Palm's wifi card. I rarely use the wifi card though cuz EVDO is actually faster in my area than the wifi card due to driver overhead and excellent EVDO signal.

Edit2: OMG how could I forget to include my Slingbox! The best accessory by far!
I have the classic version. The new versions don't impress me.

I have a problem installing macromedia flash player. When trying to install the software, The little box at the bottom of the screen to enable the typing, hides the bottom of the script and prevents me from accepting the software. Any ideas?

Hey sorry I cannot remember how I got flash player to work but I do know I got by reading one of the treo central forums I would suggest goto the top click on search and just type in flash player, I know thats what I did but I do not remember which forum post I got it from. But here is ascreen shot to show you what macro media flash that I have. Hope this helps.

Yes. It makes a good conversation piece too. "What's that?". I try to explain it to them, then tell them to check the signal on their cell phones while I turn it on. "Wow my bars just went from 2 to 4!".

do the repeaters actually work in homes? i have 1-2 bars (at best) in my house, but in my driveway signal is fine (2-3 bars usually).. reception is just terrible once I walk inside my house.. I have been looking for something that will help (it there is anything). I would want it to work with both Verizon (CDMA) and Cingular (GSM) if possible.. but Verizon is my priority..
