    Mal, if you have a moment, can you please verify whether you're able to get updates in your OnDemand app? If you have this functionality, I'll try reinstalling this hack.

    sorry, I do not use OnDemand and I refuse to install .NET CF 2 :-(

    I have to say though, I find the odds of this "breaking" OnDemand very, very low. Probably either theirs servers are down, there is a bug somewhere else or it is just a coincidence.

    I installed the reg key and the update feature for On Demand does not work for me any longer. I rarely use it, so its not a big deal for me.

    That's exactly why I wanted someone to verify this for me. It may be just a coincidence, but OnDemand was able to connect once I restored with Sprite.

    You'll have to have a regedit program installed such as Resco's.

    Hannip, thanks for the app! I did not install it yet, but I wanted to make sure that if I install this & change it to the month/day format (not the year), that it will work with my outlook appointments.

    Does getting rid of the year for display affect the apps?

    Thanks,
    Rich

    For example for month/day you could do:
    "SSDte"="M/d"

    Just remember that any change you make to the date and time formatting will affected any app that uses the system date and time for display.

    I stand corrected! (and surprised )

    One more reason why .NET stinks

    At a minimum it will affect the display of dates and times where an app uses the system default format to display them. It also appears to affect the dateparse routine in .Net. It won't hurt to try it. You can always go back to the way it was if you experience problems.

    Thanks for the info Hannip, i will give it a try. Do I need a reg editor program to run this, or can I click on it like a windows .reg file?

    Strange; my 700W now displays the month/day/year correctly (11/20/06) after I applied the reg file. weird.
