Has anyone who purchased an unlocked Vodaphone 750v registered it with Palm? Are there benefits to doing this?

    Thanks.

I haven't bothered trying since it didn't work before when I had an unbranded Treo 600 from Singapore before they started selling it in the U.S. If Palm isn't selling the product in your region, it "won't exist" to them. Or at least it didn't before. Finally, at least in the past the only benefit I've seen by registering is getting more junk mail from them.

I just bought my unlocked 750 vodafone today from CTI Miami, I did register it with palm already. I really dont know if there is any benifit. I dont think i could download any new software upgrades if thier was one available since this phone is not in the US. I will have to wait and see. I use my ph with T-mobile and so far so good. Works like a champ.

In Europe if you register you get a discount on Palm products. 30% for three items. Probably will not work in US with Vodafone locked Treos.

I recall getting offered a 30% discount on 3 items here in the US when I bought a 700p directly from Palm.
