I've searched high and low on these forums and can't see to find what I'm looking for.

I'd like to find a today plugin that allows me to have a thin line of icons that I can customize, maybe like 10-12 icons(meaning 10-12 program shortcuts). It can be as small as the line of icons on the top of the Start menu(the previous 6 programs ran) or slightly larger.

What app am I looking for?

    http://www.sbsh.net - iLauncher 3

If you customize it to have a single tab full of small icon it should look the way you want it.

Mine looks like this (all the way at the bottom)

But as I said, you can run it with no tabs and with all small icons.

    Try Scott Seligman's launcher

    http://www.scottandmichelle.net/scott/cestuff.html

It's free and you can have as many shortcuts as you would like. It puts them in 8 to a row. Just keep adding shortcuts and it keep adding rows.

It also a tiny program, doesn't take up much memory at all.

    ^^^ What he said

Another vote for Launcher here. Takes up hardly any memory at all. Not very cuistomizable (no ability to change icon sizes) but who cares?

I also think Scott Seligman's launcher is much better than cLaunch & DevState v1.4
