Install outlook on your pc if you havent already. Note that you need outlook, not outlook express.

Configure the blackberry to sync PIM information with outlook. This can be done throught he sesktop software.

After everything has been imported from you bb to outlook, start a new partnership in activesync with the ppc.

Outlook will then export all of your info into the treo.

It is pretty simple- just follow the directions that came with each device.

We should to from the top.

What were you using to sync your blackberry with from the beginning? Is this a device you had set up from work?

the blackberry was an evaluation unit from RIM that i returned after backing up everything as .ipd files. Now i have a new treo 700wx and a 838 pro and need to figure out how to convert the data in the BB to be compatible with these wm5 devices.

.IPD is a specific files extension for blackberry devices only. I.E. .ipd is only helpful if you want to restore to another blackberry.

I imagine that there is a piece of software out there somewhere that will convert the file into something useful but I am not aware of any off of the top of my head. It most likely wont be free either.

A good idea for the future is to keep your PIM info in outlook. Just about every device out there will sync with outlook.

    Good luck

How about if i am trying to do the exact opposite? Copy all my wife's contacts to a blackberry from a 700w? I know that sounds stupid but the treo is just too much for her..
If i download Outlook cant i sync her contacts in the treo to the Outlook and then sync Outlook with the new blackberry we are getting today?
