    Hi Folks,

    I'm fairly saavy on the PalmOS side of things but have extremely limited experience with regards to WM. I wanted to know if it is possible to stream the television shows that most of the networks are now offering for free on their websites directly to a WM device?

    To be sure, I'm not interested in buying a slingbox or setting up any sort of backend configuration myself at home or elsewhere. I want to know if I can watch shows like Lost or Jericho that ABC and CBS are respectively hosting on their websites right from a WM device like I can watch them on my home desktop or laptop.

    Unfortunately, I don't have any idea what kind of stream this multimedia comes in (I know for sure in one network's case it is a proprietary stream).

    Thanks in advance...
    Palm Personal => V => Vx (w/OmniSky) => m505 => Treo 300 => 600 => 650 (free of charge) => 700P (free of charge again!)

    What I've been using is Orb in conjunction with my Media Center TV PC. It works great if my connection speed is fast enough (currently using an 8125 that only has EDGE).

    check out this website its looks pretty decent. i might use it for say a week if i do a lot of traveling and sitting at airports. http://www.smartvideo.com

    theres also slingbox. if you look on here there are some people with it. it looks tight. i used to work with someone who had it on their notebook and it worked great.

    The network websites require you to have flashplayer 8 installed to view their online versions of their network shows. The problem is Pocket Internet Explorer does not come with an integrated flash player. Adobe does have a mobile version of flash player 7.6 but it does not integrate with PIE so the video won't work.

    So the simple answer to your question is NO! You cannot stream Lost from ABC's website.

    I know you said you didn't want to but the SLINGBOX is the way to go. I've got mine hooked up to my Directv Tivo unit and I'm streaming anything I have recorded or anything that is on Directv.

    I use Tivo --> TVHarmony --> ORB to access whatever content I want not only on my Treo 700 but also on any other PC.

    ORB rocks! But it really shines if you have a Tivo and TVHarmony. I'm tempted to drop a TV tuner card in my media machine to try that aspect of ORB (ORB is free).

    Any thoughts from other ORB users on the best TVTuner card for use with ORB?
