Or sprint connection manager for free.
You can download it from here. http://www4.sprint.com/pcsbusiness/s...alId=downloads

Sprint Connection manager requires a PAM afasik.

You will be charged by kb at .02 a pop. Gets expensive quickly. I don't think there is a work around, can anyone verify they aren't getting charged for tethering?

Im not getting charge for that.
And there are other threads about this. PDAnet and SCM dont charge for tethering, unless you abuse, I think.

Thanks.. so nothing will need to be installed to the phone?

You just need to activate Modem Link
GO to start > programs > Modem Link > and hit activate.
    then connect the data cable.
Remember when you are going to install disconnect the phone from the data cable.

Will this only work on the WX, since the WX is only supported by Sprint? Will it work on Verizon's 700w? I haven't bit the bullet yet on shelling out the cash for PDA Net... if this works, I will be SO happy!

Is there a similar free program for Verizon?

I think it was said before just use PDAnet i have it for my 700w on vzw its only like what 30 sum bucks but it works great and have never had problems with it and the evdo on vzw is very quick, hey if you can afford a 600 dollar phone, a 40 dollar data plan jus invest a simply one time fee and enjoy!
    Got Treo?

Unfortunately, my employer paid for the phone and is not willing to pay the money for me to surf the internet on my personal laptop... I'm just looking for something similar to the VZAccess Manager, which is offered for Verizon's aircards and the 700p, Moto-Q, etc...

So - does anybody know if the Sprint version will work with a Verizon phone? Not holding my breath...
