How can I remove the contact search window that is in the today screen under the "sprint" information bar? I don't have anything checked under the today settings but it is still there. I would like to remove it. Is this possible? Maybe you could point me to a thread on this already. I searched and was unable to find one.

    Thank you,

    From the Today Screen:

Menu --> Preferences --> Hide Lookup field

Now it'll be gone. If you start typing, it'll pop back up and disappear when you are done. Ingenious on Palm's part.

Thanks. Do you also know how to hide the bar that tells you what provider you are using? The one that has the location and bluetooth icon on it?

    Thank you,

There's many threads about this, check this out: http://www.ppcgeeks.com/disable-spri...okup-t700.html

You can hide it, but it disables some vital things most users are not willing to sacrifice...

I have mine hidden using the "hide lookup field" toggled to on. I dont think it disabled any other features? But if so, please let me know. I like having it hidden and only used when needed.

For now, I'll assume you meant the brute force version in regards to "disabling vital things".

Yeah using the Hide Lookup Field will only hide the lookup field. On his second post he asked about hiding the Provider bar (the one that says Sprint/Verizon, the BT and Location logo).

You can do that by modifying the registry as on the link above. However, doing this will remove other features such as the menu that comes up when using the Green Call button, and others.

I think we are referring to 2 different things...
