    all depends who you talk to really.. I was told it was sprint problem once and it's happening with all different kinds of phones not just the treo 700wx just random people which I know is not true cuz it started for me the second i switched to the treo 700 from the 600 and he said that was just a concidence. Ya right. Palm told me to contact sprint and now they are telling you they are working on it?!!? SOunds like everyone is getting the run around

    K I tested it out at work today.

    Messages to T-mobile didnt work, which sucks cause the people i text the most have that. (all the people at work) Cheap bastards dont want to pay for sprint. I tried the tmomail.net workaround and they got it, but got it like 15 times hahaha, and it was funny cause they thought it was doing it over on purpose. Actually, I got a reply to them like 4 hours late.

    I tried Nextel and they didnt get it, but the guy thinks its his phone cause he says it does it all the time.

    When i get a chance im gonna go to the sprint store just to add to thier complaints and see if they can make a note on my account to give me credit for messaging when they fix it all.

    here's what you (everyone calling *2, CS, ECARE) should do:

    Call this number 866-818-1944

    Say please look up national alert: 868191 (hopefully they will do it even though you don't have a trouble ticket opened)

    and then listen....

    CS, *2, ECARE won't help you or give you good information...period.

    does anyone know how this is coming along? yesterday was my 30day trial run and since texts havent been working i told them to give me a reciept that i was there yesterday inquiring about a problem..if it persists and i need to leave sprint, i do not want to be charged cancelation...i sometimes text more than talk on the phone..i need texting asap

    I called Sprint CS today, and according to the supervisor I talked to, this is not just a 700wx problem. It is nationwide and random. The CS Supe I talked to said that one customer had received the same message 84 times.

    I had them log my call (my fourth in two weeks) so that I can get credit on my account.

    I've been trying to text to someone on Alltel and no go.

    So they need to add that to the list too.

    For me....receiving is NO problem whatsoever. I have received every text that people have sent to me...I just can't respond back...some of the time...it's completely "hit and miss"

    I can recieve messages all day long too. just cant send them out!!

    I can receive, but not send. Sprint customers get my outgoing messages however.

    It has been almost 2 weeks! Still no fix. If this persists, I will have to cancel my service or switch to a 700p if that is working? It defeats one of the major purposes of having this device, if you cannot use one major form of communication. If the phone feature wasn't working to other carriers.. I'm sure they would have a mass exodus and several lawsuits.

    Yeah it is very aggravating. According to Sprint CS though, the problems are not limited to the 700wx. I asked to have my phone replaced with a 700p but they said that would not help (not sure I believe them though). Seems to me the FCC should be aware as they are basically charging for service not delivered. Anyone know how to do a class action lawsuit?

    Stop with the class action lawsuit. Just ask for one free month of text messaging.

    I got sent to the retention department today. They said I could use a 700p until they get the wx fixed and then go back even if it's past my thirty days. So texting works great on the P no problems at all. It just sucks compared to the wx.

    I have unlimited texting and I was able to get a credit for $15 and will continue to do so until the SMS is working properly. Just call them up and tell them what is going on. I'm sure they will take care of you.

    They told me that they closed my ticket because it is a national issue and it is being worked on as we speak.
