    I would like to know this also. How can this be unless you have a different firmware version?

    Mine phone says OS 5.1.195 (Build 14929.2.2.1)

    Also, under the "Phone" tab, my Firmware Version is 108
    PRL is 20224
    Software Version is TREO700WX-1.13-SPNT
    Hardware Version is A

    I can't hardly believe there would be different versions with the phone just released a few months ago.

    I only asked this because when I called palm, they made me read these numbers to them. When I did, she said to me "You sure it says 1.13?" Odd indeed, being there is no other possibilty for this phone, that I know of

    I have the same info as rjmoose posted and my 700wx is less than a month old.
    Treo 600 > Treo 650 > Treo 700p > Treo 700wx -> Mogul -> Touch Pro

    I was hoping that there was a fix out...Sprint for some reason sent me a 700wx again I guess to send my P back if I wanted....So i was wondering if there was a fix in the works soon...before the return kit gets here so I could switch back to the 700wx...I wonder if I tried this 700wx it would be different? Worth a shot i guess...

    Yah. Sorry bout that one there... I'll keep my MSGS limited to 130 characters from now on. My brother had the same thing happen to his when I sent him a msg at 160.

    I wouldn't go more than 125....I think 130 MAY cause the "(1/2) repeated messages" issue.

    I'm in (1/2) hell right now also. The last time it happened to me it took a few days to sort itself out. Then I got 2/2 and all of my other sms messages that were queued up behind it.

    So if you get the WX and donít go over say 100 characters a text the phone won't F'up? I know when I got the WX a month ago or so first thing I did was text one over 160 ending up in two messages. It's easy with a keyboard right there..

    I am using beta3 of the threaded sms on my 700wx and tried to send myself a text message over 160 characters. I received the message in 2 parts as I should, but then received the same 2 parts again a few minutes later.

    I noticed that when I selected "Notification" and selected the option to view the message, it took me to the nonthreaded messaging view. I deleted all instances of the messages in the inbox and sent to see if that would fix it. I did not receive any additional copies of that message after that.

    I deleted the (1/2) message from my inbox and sent myself a new short text. What I got back was the (1/2) message again. I deleted it again and tried another short message. Got nothing. Seems to be stuck again.

    Edit: soft reset and sent myself another short message. I got back the (1/2) message again. Weird. I'm not initiating these new messages from my treo either. So either it's Sprint that is messed up or my inbox is somehow corrupted to always show that same message over and over again. ugh.

    I am telling all of you:

    No matter what has and hasn't worked in the past, DO NOT GO OVER 125 CHARACTERS!!!

    I have learned the hard way and sent text messages that were around 145 characters and the person on the receiving end (a sprint user) will not get ANY text messages for up to 36 hours....it becomes a nightmare for the other person. That is why I suggested the following to "encourage" Sprint & Palm to fix this problem. It would cripple their text messaging system:

    We really need to seriously consider doing this.

    Well, after getting off the phone with Palm just now, I AM AT WAR with both of those companies!!!

    Palm told me that it's Sprint's problem even though they are "investigating the situation" (translation: they DID screw up part of the inner workings of the phone) and they are working on a fix. But hey...it's not their problem.

    Then Sprint tells me that it's Palm's fault and to be patient while Palm releases a "fix"....what a bunch of slapdicks!!!!
