Called them again and they said there has been a number of tickets submitted in the past few hours about that same problem and the engineers are "looking into it". I asked if I can get credited for something I am paying for that I cannot use and he gave me $10 for the "inconvenience".

Same here...I am getting "message failed...you need to subscribe to text messaging first in order to send texts" or something like that. My wife is now getting "messaging failed" and her phone is a Sanyo Katana and is not receiving back text messages from someone who is on Verizon.

This entire mess is commonly known as a:

    "Cluster Phuck"...THANK YOU SPRINT!!!

for those of you who dont know..

"Cluster phuck: definition - the act of group rape"

cool, now EVERYONE who reports it should get some kind of credit, i hope. But this is good that everyones is down. Maybe they unplugged some servers to work on the messaging issue.

I am having no issues here sending to Sprint phones.Where are all of you located?
  7. #347
I believe you only get that error when sending to non-sprint phones. I'm able to send txt msgs to sprint phones just fine.

I get the same "Undeliverable, you must subscibe to text messaging" that everyone else is getting. I called Sprint and they are updating the network right now. Estimated completion of fix 1 hour. It's 10:07pm EDT. WE'LL SEE IF A SPRINT REP ACTUALLY KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT. GOOD LUCK!

Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, I am receiving messages from Sprint customers all delayed. I just received 5 messages at once that were sent between 4-7PM this evening (midnight as I speak).

I left Nextel for text messaging issues and I end up having the same problems with Sprint.

So I got an email from T-Mobile yesterday regarding my FCC complaint. I had to write them back and apologize and say the problem is with Sprint, not T-Mobile. Of course, I haven't received any response from Sprint yet.

That's really telling. I've had tmobile before & they have excellent customer service. I also submitted an FCC complaint about Sprint A have received nothing from them. I'm glad that the FCC responds to those complaints. That is reassuring.

I really cannot believe this. SMS messaging was working perfectly, then they made some "upgrade" so I know they know what caused it. They simply dont care. Sprint? Palm? Microsoft? I have heard them all blamed from Sprint customer service...I blame Sprint. They are the provider for my service who I make my monthly payments to. If I was within my trial period with the phone I would return it. But I am not...they know they have me and there is nothing I can do but wait. F them man.

F them in the A....they are card carrying commie's!

Not a bad idea to file a complaint with the FCC. They are the ones that can make Sprint do something about it.

I think we should all start calling the Sprint Network Operations phone number and complaining to them...since they don't normally deal with customers, maybe getting a large amount of frustrated callers will light a fire under someone's a** to actually fix this problem

I can post the # here if anyone wants it....

The FCC online form was posted by someone else earlier in this thread, so I can't take credit for the idea. Sad that T-Mobile responded and Sprint hasn't that's for sure.

We need to unite our forces and all do the same thing...

Thanks for reposting the link. I agree everyone should file an FCC complaint. it is potentially our only way to rectify this. It really appears as if Sprint doesn't care.
